Wow, I didn't know I was counting wrong! Counting like a musician is way easier for me than "dd u udu", thank you!

I have been playing guitar since I was 13, I am now banging on 60, I have been a life long beginner,, I got a gift of a ukulele about 4 weeks ago, I found your channel about 2 weeks ago,, I have learned more music theory, basic knowledge and not so basic knowledge,” Tips and tricks that make sense, Your common sense no bs approach to teaching music is incredibly helpful and it’s appreciated,, 2 weeks against 47 years,, ( I have no idea) Thanks a million,

I heard someone playing Stairway to Heaven on a Tenor uke at the beach, with the riff 😂 it's definitely an underestimated instrument by many people because of what you said... the constant island strum players use, especially if it's their first instrument or they don't know much about musicality. It's cute to hear when you're in vacation in Hawaii but the instrument is capable of so much more than that.

That was great! I'm a beginner and would love to know what the faster strumming pattern is.

Thanks so much! I had scales drilled into me when I was in school band for 5 years but I've forgotten a lot of my music theory. I was playing around on the uke the other day and there were some cool chords I couldn't even find the names of when I'd just lift or add a finger from the chords I knew. I saw this video at a good time because it explains why certain notes sound good in these chords

This was great. My seniors uke group is ready for jazzing up their standard first, position chords, and this video gives a whole different (& creative, rather than wrote-learning) way to go about that. Thankyou 😊

It would be helpful if you can write the strumming pattern on the screen for some learners like me. I understand better when I see a strun pattern and then hear it 😅

Wow…too funny. I just had such an aha moment from this video. You explained so simply and clear and it made so much sense to me! Like I am starting to understand music…At the exact same moment I read a post from someone who says basically to dumb it down to the level of a six year old…
