Find that ligaments behind me knee really feel tight in this stretch, what’s best way to open up this area?
@stretchitappКүн бұрын
We offer a lot of classes that could be beneficial for your goal on the STRETCHIT app at www.stretchitapp.com/app. Please check out our Hamstring Express classes in the Legs and Front Splits class package (Classes on the bottom menu). Also, we suggest joining our 14-Day Touch Your Toes Challenge (Programs on the bottom menu -> Absolute Beginner Programs). This program is focused on hamstring flexibility.

In the meantime, in the pancake stretch, place yoga blocks under your hands, bend your knees, and arch your lower spine. Then start extending your legs slowly. Go only as far as your back stays straight. It’s ok if your legs don’t straighten all the way just yet. Then bend the knees again and repeat breathing through it. Inhale when you bend and exhale when you straighten. It's important to keep the discomfort level around 5 out of 10 to ensure that you are stretching safely and not causing stress on your ligaments. Listen to your body and adjust the intensity of the muscle engagement to your current flexibility level. Hope this helps! ❤

Thankyou for this video, how often should I do this? When will I begin to see results? Just asking because I'm 34, danced for 20 years and was never able to split. I am kinda determined to get the splits happening now but i know it will be harder at my age. I'll be happy just to acheive the front split. I have your app but at this current time I'm unwilling to pay for it. I'll love your work though! Do you believe with determination and dedication that anyone can split or do you think some bodies are just not born to do them?
@stretchitapp8 күн бұрын
Anyone can become more flexible and learn the splits 🙂 It’s all about commitment, consistency and proper training. If you are focused on increasing flexibility, start with at least two 30-min classes a week and give your body 2-3 days to recover between sessions. See how it goes for you and start slowly increasing the regularity and class length. Eventually, you can stretch every day if your body feels good, and if you mix deep stretching and recovery sessions.

The duration you hold the Cobra Pose can vary depending on your comfort level and experience. For beginners, it's generally recommended to hold the pose for 15-30 seconds. As you become more comfortable and your strength and flexibility improve, you can gradually increase the duration. Always listen to your body and avoid pushing yourself too hard. It's more important to maintain proper alignment and breathing than to hold the pose for a longer time.

@@Somakhetrapal72 It’s impossible to say if you reach a certain height or not as height is mostly determined by genetics. Stretching can improve your posture (so you may seem higher). But actually increase height? - not so much ❤

can you use foam rollers instead of blocks?
@stretchitapp22 күн бұрын
Thank you for your question. Safe training is our priority. We don't recommend using foam rollers instead of yoga blocks. Blocks provide stable and solid support which is essential for maintaining proper alignment. Foam rollers are less stable and might not offer the same level of support. Hope this helps ❤

Thankyou for the video! I'm still working on my flexibility at the moment however, where can I buy those blocks from? I'm in AUS
@stretchitapp24 күн бұрын
You're very welcome 😊Yoga stores usually have the blocks. Big online retailers (like Amazon) would have them. You can also substitute the blocks with books or even chairs, anything supportive to your hands would work.

How does this channel only have 20k subs?! Its damn near criminal you guys don't get more recognition. You got yourself a new sub, and i thank you for all the useful information: I'm a cyclist and i used to not care about stretching at all. Then i started to get chronically sore and stiff around my hips and thighs, and after some weeks of stretching, that's almost all gone. It was very painful to stretch at first, but i feel so much better now. I can move my hips without pain now!

Is it optimal to contract my legs so they are straight?
@stretchitapp2 ай бұрын
In the pancake stretch, engaging your leg muscles to keep them straight can be beneficial. This active engagement helps to deepen the stretch in your hamstrings and adductors, promoting flexibility and strength. However, it's important to keep the discomfort level around 5 out of 10 to ensure that you are stretching safely and not causing stress on your ligaments. Listen to your body and adjust the intensity of the muscle engagement to your current flexibility level ❤
