Somebody been pee'n on those old tuners there Dave? Interesting experience with that elongated style of the switch in the SGs, the way the support frame is bent to 90 degrees lines up the spring and lever positions so it works as we want it to. However, and it seems to be happening more often in the last ... say twenty years, I haven't kept records about it, but that 90 degree bend will relax a bit and put the spring/lever position and tension out of whack. The metallurgy and production process tolerances might be loosening up on the frame and the spring material too for economy, supply, or whatever. I have had some success by reforming the frames. Lovin' your videos, so glad you started doing them way back when.

Hey I'm only a second in your video, you have to look up the process of using a plastic bag around the knob and then pulling evenly. When you use a spoon in your putting leverage on it and it's going to crack. Put a plastic bag under and around it or a piece of fine material bumch up the material and then pull straight up it works perfectly and you will never crack another Knob. Otherwise thanks for the video I'm doing the same job today rock on bro

16:03 Great video Dave. Trust you are doing well. Re: 4 conductor humbuckers. I prefer a series or parallel option than a split coil. In fact, I think a coil tap (cutting off some of the winds) would even sound better than a coil split.

@DavesWorldofFunStuff Hi Dave, I got a Nitefly SA which has a problem with the octave on the high E string - it is flat. I tried to move its bridge towards the sadle as much as possible, still the octave is flat. I estimate the bridge has still 1-2 mm to move towards the saddle. Can the trem as a whole be adjusted to compensate for this issue?

On another guy's channel he demonstrated that the G string can be brought into tune by adjusting pickup heights. He would do the twelfth fretted harmonic and I could hear the warble then he'd adjust the pickup heights until warble disappeared. I wonder if that's a common belief based on misconception or what? Your thoughts Dave.

Who makes up these names? In this case, Seymour Duncan borrowed from JRR Tolkien. The Nazgul were the nine human kings who had succumbed to Sauron’s nine rings of power and became the Ringwraiths. Am I the only DWFS fan who knows this?

To be honest with you Dave----Mexico to Canada products are 98% shipped on land (through the US). This "aspect" of product being FLOWN from Mexico to Canada is ridiculous. I trucked over-the-road for 25 years. Want everything flown in? Prepare to pay! Otherwise, I love your videos---but if you call MY profession out...prepare to have YOURS questioned. And I didn't question yours; because if/when you stick to instruments YOU know what you're talking about.
