Ho Chi Minh is not a hero at all just as China's Mao is not a hero at all. Ho Chi Minh and Pol Pot, Mao Ze Dong and Deng Xiao Ping, Lenin and Stalin are the same bunches of criminals, they are all communist dictators, terrorists, and oppressors, with no essential difference. Ho Chi Minh is nothing more than a puppet of the Soviet Union and China just as China's Mao Zedong is nothing more than a dog of Stalin. Ho Chi Minh is a traitor, a dictator, an exploiter, and an oppressor of the Vietnamese people, who got trained and brainwashed by his Russian and Chinese communist masters and then was sent back to Vietnam to bring wars, killings, disasters, tragedies, poverty, oppression, ignorance, and corruption to Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, there is nothing to be proud of. Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese communist regime are not supported by the Vietnamese people, just as the Taliban regime is not supported by the Afghanistan people, that's why millions of Vietnamese refugees risked their lives fleeing the Vietnamese communist regime. Don't be brainwashed by the communist propaganda machine.

Really it was just about national liberation, dude. Kicking out the imperialist vermin that sought to exploit the people and their land. Communism just means a long-term desire to move past a dependence on means of exchange and nation-states. Sure "the Taliban regime is not supported by the Afghanistan people", it was imposed by the CIA to overthrow the progressive Afghanistan Government that the US denounced as Communist. Your comparison is absurd. The population of Vietnam has more than tripled since 1960, strange for a country whose population is "fleeing the Vietnamese communist regime". That's not to imagine everything is perfect there, but it is way better than it ever was under French colonialism or US imperialism.

@@QarlonRoad who is a traitor? a communist nationalist man (Ho Chi Minh) who left his country to see study for 20 years and bring it back to vietnam, or some facist men at the south who opressed buddhism, communism so much that they have to kill these peoples (Ngo Dinh Diem, Nguyen Van Thieu)? Communism or socialism might not work at your country, but it worked here.
