In fact, from 1905 to 1955, they were officially called the Washington Nationals; but kept Senators as a secondary name. The name Nationals was revived in 2005 when the Montreal Expos relocated to DC and rebranded.

@@lakebay972 Originally when they moved MLB wanted to call them the Senators again, but the DC City Council said there no real Senators in DC, then Mayor Williams suggested Grays in honor of that Negro League team that played in Griffith Stadium during World War 2, in the Major League Baseball chose Nationals.

There is no such thing as a Bronx accent. They just have a regular NY accent which some people call a Brooklyn accent but it started in Manhattan. There are no different accents for the different boros! LOL
