I definitely believe that 33 is A as "c" does not clarify or concisely represent "goodbye". I think it symbolizes the end of a phase of life and that the girl is moving on... This is supported by the last few lines as well. It's very close and I might be wrong but oh well...

11 is actually correct.. Think of it as if you take out the "my partner" - the sentence would be "he called out to me" which is correct.. it's correct bcuz the speaker isn't the subject of the sentence so you use me not I

I dont think use up the right in this context. I think take in or soak up....Soak up can mean two things depending on the context it can mean "to absorb a liquid" and it can mean to absorb something or enjoy something that exists around you for example I just want to lie on the beach and soak up the sun. but not sure between take in or soak up still giving it some thought.

“I” is a subject pronoun, “My partner and I” as the subject of a sentence. My partner and I went to dinner yesterday. “Me” is an object pronoun, “My partner and me” as the object of a sentence eg. My sister invited my partner and me to dinner.

...invited my partner and me... = invited my partner + invited me. Break the sentence into parts...make more sense.
