You are correct ! I've spent countless hours walking these banks . It was a major travel corridor with many resources for Native Americans to utilize and survive from . It can and does produce a great diversity of artifacts . The rise and fall of water levels reveal these artifacts . I enjoy hunting during the winter the most . Thanks , brother ! The power of water is our friend . Those washes or gullies are my favorite spots to look . They are usually productive . @@bluegrassrelics1969 I guess you miss understood what I meant . All I was saying was the water is going back up before it really washes the lower rock line. At least on my stretch of River it was just starting to expose the lower rock line and this rain is going to silt it all back in. Just wanted to clarify that. Anyways happy hunting!

@RiverRatArtifacts No worries, brother. I knew what you meant . My rock line is mostly still mudded in on this site . Recent rain has started to expose it again . It's tricky with the river going up . Seems like the longer the water is up, the more mud it leaves behind . The more the mud gets washed off, the better it will get, hopefully . Awesome thumb scrapper brother. Loved seeing you back in the saddle. Don’t blame you one bit for not sinking in the mud. I saw a video on KZbin where a guy sank up to his neck in mud and barely made it out alive. Be careful on the river sludge brother. Summer is coming tho which is usually the best time for the river here. Also I loved seeing the pottery. I believe the thicker it is the older it is. We’ve got a beach here called pottery beach that is absolutely covered in broken vessels. Had to be a place they were making them heavily. Either way can’t wait to see what that site brings you this year. Take care bubba ✌🏻

Thanks, brother . That mud ain't no joke . I know when to not walk in it .Lol! It will pull a boot off trying to get out of it . Lol! That's an interesting idea on the pottery shard . I've often wondered why some is really thin with elaborate markings in it, and some is chunky and more crude . That makes sense . It felt good to get out . I'm gonna get the boat out so I can hit a bunch of sites soon . Can't wait to see some killers from your sites as well . Good hearing from you, and best wishes out there, brother .

The last white arrowhead was one of the oldest in USA lands. A "dalton" point, 5000-7000 BC, so 7000 - 9000 years old. This arrowhead belonged to the ancestors of the clovis bearers. The point was made in design by tradition and influenced such. Be proud.

Ya missed one at the firepit on the right side about 3:00. It looked to be 3 to 4" long, thin, grayish color. If that pit was a clock look at it about 3 00

Hey, thanks, brother . It was a sweet Dovetail . That site doesn't give up much, but when it does, it's usually an oldie . The skin cancer on the face sucked but everything went well . I'm pretty much healed up now. I will be sporting a 10-gallon hat and sunscreen to protect from the sun regularly. I missed the best part of rock hunting season, but your well-being comes first . Mike is a good friend of mine, and I've started taking him out looking with me over the last year or so . I've been subbed and watching your channel for some time now . Great content and always entertaining. I love hunting waterways, and it's cool to see you doing the same . Like you , we have a lot of hunting pressure here as well . Hello there. I live on the KY/TN line between Franklin, KY and Orlinda, TN. I know absolutely nothing about these kinds of things but I have some arrow heads I've somehow acquired over the years and I'm just fascinated everytime I hold one. Anyway, can you please tell me a little more about the pipe fragment you found and show in the early part of this video? Specifically, do you have any idea whatsoever how old it may be or who probably made it? I'm guessing it's indians but I'm not even sure of that. Also, it doesn't really look handmade to my VERY untrained, inexperienced, and uneducated (on artifacts) mind. I mean, it looks to perfect and too uniform. The top of the bowl seems to be exactly the same thickness all the way around it. I also don't see any of the chipped off divots like you see on arrowheads. PLEASE PLEASE don't take my questions wrong or as if I'm suggesting you are faking something or are wrong or anything else. Clearly you know what you are doing. I am simply trying to learn a little bit here. Thanks very much for any help or insight you may offer!

How's it going, brother ? The trade pipe piece is likely early to mid 1800s Era. They were originally made and brought here by Europeans and traded with Native Americans for fur and / or other goods . I'm pretty sure after that, they were manufactured here as they became popular among early Americans . I've also heard them called Penny pipes . The piece I found is of unknown origin . It could have been used by indians but most likely wasn't. It is really just speculation at this point . It is amazing the things you can find in a creek . Back in the old days, folks threw their trash over the hill in creeks, and it wasn't frowned upon like today . Some of this stuff got mudded in the bank and eventually gets washed out years later .
