Thank you for this great video and very well explained! Is it possible to apply conditional formatting on one calculation item dynamically using a measure that is not in the calculation group? For example, in my calculation group, I have X, Y and Z calculation items with each of them having x,y, and z measures in it. I need to apply conditional formatting on the calculation item X in a matrix based on a measure 'background color' which has some logic based on measures a and b (which are not there in the calculation items). @PowerBIHowTo - does sorting work when you put something into Column section of the matrix and ? I have a Parameter in values and something like time period display in columns but I am unable to sort by any of those columns? Any remedy to it?

Very useful information and explained simply as per usual! Extending calc groups further then, if you have an FY Slicer, is it possible to use the value selected as part of a calculation group item heading in a Matrix visual? Such as FYTD HIRES (<Selected FY>), eg. FYTD HIRES (FY24). There doesn't appear to be an 'fx' option on 'Text' to do that. Just wondering if there was a workaround trick? Thanks.

To be honest, there is nothing advanced in this RLS without using USERPRINCIPALNAME DAX function to apply dynamic filter based on the logged-in user's identity.

I would recommend one little change: in the last line of the function (the conditional definition of Replacetext) I would use searchText if the condition is not met instead of null. Like this: ReplaceText = if SearchPos = -1 then searchText else replaceList{SearchPos}

Hi I was watching again, I managed to make the visual like the end. I kept "Sales" in the y-axes and added CG measures (Volume, Revenue, Qty etc) as a slicer and it seems to work. I would not expect that with the sales in these axes. Note that I wanted to put the cg measure in the axes but could not do it (seems logical)....but how is it I can keep "sales" there?

In timestamp 12.27 you mentioned that context transition happens at there. But i am skeptical whether for that any context transition happens. Cos inside the iterator there is no CALCULATE. Only thing is filter context is there on the visual and figures are coming through filter context.
