I don't no what I'm doing wrong but I can't get the rocks shiney. I followed the directions from national geographic grit chart bs and not one rock is shiney after stage 4. They are all dull when they dry Can you tell me why
@CacklingChick5 сағат бұрын
Howdy! Try this polish: amzn.to/4a5f0oS If you used the polish that came with the kit, it's not any good. I highly recommend using The Rock Shed grits and aluminum oxide 1,000 (polish). It's an excellent brand and what I use for great results. I see others also use aluminum oxide 8,000, but I haven't tried it yet. I hope this helps and let me know! POLISH ON!! 😃👍🏻🪨💦

Howdy, Mary Ann!! Welcome to the channel, I'm so glad you're here and you get crazy over rocks, too! What do you do with your rocks? Do you tumble, put them all around your place? 😁👍🏻🪨⛏️

@ I just put the cool rocks I find all over my house and yard if I remember… I write where I found the rock somewhere on it if possible…. Because as much as I believe I’d remember the place, it turns out I don’t sometimes I will use nail polish to enhance a rock… sometimes I write a focus word on it. Sometimes I use rocks in conjunction with a meditative or prayer practice or something. I now want to experiment with using Dremel or wheel to polish
@CacklingChick4 сағат бұрын
Wow, what a great idea to write where you found them! I never thought of that before. Love your other artistic ideas, too! HA, I have on my list to try polishing with a Dremel, too!! Niiice!!

What kind of mine was it?
@CacklingChick3 күн бұрын
Howdy, Harold! 👋🏼 Mining at Mesquite Canyon was mostly gold mining. This area is part of the Mojave Desert, where gold mining was a significant activity during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Many small mining claims and operations were established in and around the canyon, focusing on extracting gold from quartz veins and placer deposits. I hope that helps! Have a great day! 😁👍🏻🪨⛏️

I like to hold my rocks, and I do care for a lot of animals, so coating them with a chemical product wouldn't be so great for me personally. I wouldn't recommend people making jewelry with sprayed stones either, u could find yourself with some skin rashes or some other ill effect. My partner works with metal and wood, and for good quality, and durability... a lot of time goes into sanding and shaping the materials into something beautiful. A quick spray on layer may be great for decorations or school projects, but it's not the way to go if you truly want to cherish a stone and carry it with you through the journey of life. Wishing you much success with your channel. You make the most interesting sounds!
@CacklingChick6 күн бұрын
Howdy! 👋🏼 I agree with you if the stone is to be worn or touched often. Others have made similar comments. Another mentioned the spray may interfere with the vibrations from crystals. I hadn't thought of either of those things, but definitely valid points. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I really appreciate the feedback. Yes, I'm naturally hyper, hence the spaz noises. Thanks again! Take care and ROCK ON!! 😁👍🏻🪨⛏️
