Holly hell why would you plant them so close? They won’t be able to grow up properly. I would suggest putting red cedars 5’ from one another if you want complete privacy

I’ve had a lovely calathea orbifalia for about 6 months and it’s suddenly become dramatic. I Have to try this but I don’t have a grow lamp room

Thank you for your video, personally I am struggling with calatheas even in water but maybe because of the quality of it here in my city so I set a fish tank but now I do not know how many light they need. How many lumens do you recommend for calatheas for indoor? I just read that they need 'low light' = 400 - 1500 lumens, I consider that's a lot of light. I am not really sure about it, because your Calatheas seems fine.

I found spider mites on my thriving calathea and I gave her a scrub with very diluted dish soap and water and all her leaves curled and she looks awful but some of her looks better than ever! I need help I can’t find anyone with my exact situation :( she’s my favorite and was my most healthy plants it’s so hard seeing her this way :(

Same here! Calathea ornata got gnats or mites and some root rot… in 12-24 hours she went from 17 bushy leaves to 5 dead looking weeds. This was after I repotted her and put a soapy peroxide bottom watering. If her roots are rotted will this water experiment still work? Anyone know?

What specific fertilizer drops did you use for your calathea?
@littlejungle100
@littlejungle100 Жыл бұрын
Please watch the video below, I talked about what I use. But any liquid fertilizer should work just be careful not to use too much… they are very strong. BTW, you don’t have to use fertilizer if you don’t have any. kzbin.infoadWiMrf4kCE?si=34Uvq3s_Ssac59wi

We got our palm four months ago and most of its leaves are drying up. We keep it in an area where we keep our internet router, the space tends to stay a bit warmer than any spot in our apartment. It sets some light and I water it once a week and mist the rocks I have the container sitting on top. The only thing I haven't done is fertilizing it since we got it. I was wondering what brand of fertilizer works best for this plant? Thank you for your help 🙂
@littlejungle100

Awe, it seems to be hard to find the right balance with Palm plants but I usually use liquid fertilizer. I have fish base and a sea weed base liquid fertilizer. The fish one has a strong odour so I don’t use it as often but the sea weed is very good. I bought it from Canadian tire. I think if you look through my short vids, you can find one that I show the bottles. 🙏

I just bought my little gal and she is cute. However, I didn't know a thing about her. Your video gave me information that I needed to have. Thanks so much. I must ask one thing though. After hearing that the palm needs mositure, I 'm wondering if the palm suffers from spider mites or other pests. Does the bella palm suffer from pests a lot or little or none at all?
@littlejungle100
@littlejungle100 2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for the kind words and watching my video. I never had any issues with pests on my palm aside some fruit flies .. they are very common with any houseplants. To control little annoying flying bugs, I always use some sticky yellow papers on my soil. That way they stay under control.

Für Calatheen ist weiches Wasser wichtig. Kein hartes mit viel Kalk. Entweder Regenwasser, gefiltertes Wasser oder du mischst es mit destillierem Wasser.
