I always get the feeling that Mike could skate his way out of a burning building

there's no taking away his flat-land infused pump, laying plants on transitions so fluid, it's got 80's stamped and endorsed, Legendary figure we see growing up from turning pro to sponsored rider to owning his own brand, we see him developing through magazines and Co. videos. Oldskool style of skating compensates for non-technical Mike V just doesnt subscribe to. Instead he goes BIG. keeps on with distinguished style. Never shys away from a fight. bless Mike V. Lotsa' love and respect from, Sabah, North Borneo, East Malaysia.

Forget about the gnarly, he is pure talent, style and creativity, all timeless and getting more interesting and more admirable through time.

This man is the reason double kicktail skateboards became popular. Every modern skater owes him a debt.

I feel like such a dork looking back at it, but Mike V is my favorite skater and I tried to emulate his style so hard that it's definitely influenced how I turned out as a person.

Every time I see Mike V skating it feels so powerful...I love this kind of approach...Kinda of go like 200 mph fast, and explode to your trick...even the saves with a hand grip and stuff look amazing..total control.

Great part. His tricks are a perfect fusion of old school and modern. And done with very distinct style and all fully tweaked out. So glad I came up in the 80's and got to experience skateboarding before street was a thing, and then to see it explode and evolve.

If you saw this live, as in you were 10ft from him as he flew himself up a wall and dropped back down into a quarter pipe, you’d be clapping and saying wtf??? Video doesn’t capture the intensity and ballsiness of his skating. I’ve seen him skate at parks and when he is there he is the best one there and all eyes are on him. And you clap without hesitating when he pulls a huge 360 grab over a transition.

And that notion of "not as technically difficult" is something else. I can pull 360 double flips first try and flip nosegrinds. But Mike V does stuff in terrain so many terrains and in such a big extension that I can't really mess with his stuff. Respect to this man, he is awesome and people who hate his style are young ignorant minds that sold into the standarization of skateboaring.

i hate people that say the tricks like this r not actuall tricks they justdon't get it without theese trick that mike v is keepein alive there would be no newschool tricks and what he is doing is real skating there is no rules in skateboarding that tell you what is a trick and wha isn't that is what is supposed to make skating special mike is just doing what he wants to do on the skateboard he is just having fun and expressing himself which is what skating is all about
