I never really thought about these 'rules' before, but now they make so much sense! 🤯 I've always found stacking necklaces to be so chic and a great way to elevate an outfit, but I could never quite pull it off. After getting my color analysis and discovering that I’m more of a white gold/silver person, I stopped wearing my gold necklaces altogether. Then, last Christmas, my husband gave me a beautiful necklace with a large cat pendant because we had just adopted our cat. As much as I love the thought behind it, I’ve struggled to style it with my other pieces. But now I’m thinking that if I get one or two more necklaces of different lengths, the cat pendant might blend in better.

Nice to have you back, Lidia! I’ve never heard of some of these brands, I’m curious to check Boutique Libertie - they look very Sezane-like. From the ones I know, I adore Ba$h and their 70s vibes! I also like single items from Maje, but honestly I can’t read the brand aesthetic target 😅 sometimes it’s very girlie, but then their bags are very 70s… it’s confusing 😅

@tatianaguerrero02 that’s my normal size, though there are also Sézane blouses that are very big and a 38 fits. I have a very large breast, so I think my usual size was better in this cut. I’ve seen that people with smaller breast still get their usual size and wrap it around, rather.

I just hope they fix the waist to hips ratio - this way it would be perfect. And such pretty designs
@lavinder112 ай бұрын
@thelidiaedit It's a French brand and the average woman here is thin, straight and small chested so their designed are based on that. Unless they release a curvy line due to expanding so quickly into countries with curvier bodies, I don't think they will fix that tbh Sezane is the only high quality brand I can buy since moving to France that does anything for bigger hips. 😪
@thelidiaedit2 ай бұрын
Oui, je sais but as you can I see I tried so many and I didn’t think I would find this problem in an a-line cut 😂 oh yes, even finding a 42 in France is hard. Promod has good sizing, by the way. Not the same quality, but I think it’s fine for summer clothes. I used to shop a lot at NafNaf and Morgan de Toi when I lived in France. Now I’m so into Sézane and it’s not just the æsthetic, it’s also, like you said, the fact that they have bigger sizes too.

Fascinating to see different opinions on skirts. Katie Louise loves her Tabata skirt and she wears the same size and has a small waist/larger hips. Do you have other mid/maxi skirts you like or is it that length that you don’t like? Personally I don’t wear a lot of skirts as I am only 5ft tall and they tend to make me look shorter 😂
@thelidiaedit3 ай бұрын
Hi, I tried Tabata because I saw it on Katie many times and found it really beautiful. But as I said in the video, not ideal for my same body type. I had other midi skirts with similar cuts in the past and it was the same. That’s why I think it’s not just the curves in the bottom part we should think of, but also those on the top part. The final picture, so to say. So for curvy types like Katie’s, it works really well; but for hourglass and 8 figures, not so much 😭 Do you think mini skirts make you look shorter too?
@pixi783 ай бұрын
@@thelidiaedit interesting! I think I’m am very self conscious about my legs. I have lipedema to my legs so even though I am not overweight, my legs are larger than they “should” be. This is probably why I prefer to either hide them beneath a maxi or wear pants/jeans.

I bought that kiwi pippa dress for a two month vacation and practically lived in the whole time-you made a great choice there and it looked stunning on you. I think one underrated item is the tabata skirt but to tell you the truth mine was in this viscose fabric that I’m not really a big fan of, but the cut of it is a winner specially for women with wider hips.
@thelidiaedit3 ай бұрын
Hi - I think it's so universally flattering in this color. That's funny you mentioned that, because I tried the tabata skirt and I have very large hips, and it was a big fail for me. I think it also depends on your overall body composition. so for me, as I have a very small torso and very big chest area, it made me look like "the little house on the prairy". I'd be curious to try the sandy on me. any thoughts on that?
@NorahsYarnArt3 ай бұрын
@@thelidiaedit the slight fit and flare of the sandy skirt would only work for me if it’s hemline hits on the knees or a tad below any longer than that and it won’t be flattering no matter what footwear I use with it. I think my waistline-to-hips ratio is what makes a-line skirts/ pencil skirts the best for me. I’m 160cm 5ft3 and hemline makes or breaks many skirts for me. Would love to see how it goes for you.
