Thanks for the video man. Is there another PTK branch in the Chicago area. I can't tell if your affiliated with Ingram's branch. The footwork seems different, but that may be person preference?
@WindyCityPTKWFАй бұрын
You're welcome! Thanks for watching 👍 The footwork is different. However, I have had extensive training time with the Kali Center's top guys. I was part of the KC staff when it first started in 2014-15 and stayed on until 2017-18. Their core curriculum was heavily inspired by PTK-SMF's training methods back when I was involved. You can spot me in some of the older KZbin videos 🙂 I know they expanded and added much more to the curriculum over the years, so I have no idea what their footwork curriculum is like today. But yeah, that is probably why you noticed a similarity. Shoot me an email if you're interested in some training. I will be adding more free content on here as well for drills, techniques, and other things. So stay tuned and subscribe 🔷️🔺️🔻🙏

@@WindyCityPTKWF Thanks, and already subscribed. I have followed Paul's channels for a few years and checked out some of the KC curriculum. I started out learning FCS Dionaldo's system and some of the Inosanto/Balicki blend of material, but I have enjoyed learned some of the PTK/KC material. I'll be keeping an eye out for more of your stuff. And unfortunately I'm not in the area for training. I'm on the west coast.

Good eye...if you're talking to me, you are preaching to the choir, bud. But if you're speaking to other viewers of the video that read your comment, then more power to ya. With some slight modifications, this can easily turn into an impact weapon technique.

@WindyCityPTKWFАй бұрын
Don't be sorry. Let's start a discussion. Also, please let me know what you mean by "dojo techniques". I don't understand what you mean. Why do you disagree with it? Just curious
@jondoe1784Ай бұрын
@@WindyCityPTKWF dojo techniques her only techniques that will work in the dovetail. When I was practicing stick techniques I was doing what everybody else does collie type stuff but I had a 6'8 500 lb guy that was a student of mine and those techniques did not work at all against him swinging a stick at a realistic speed. So I devised a new way of stick fighting that would allow you to defend yourself against a very aggressive giant

@@WindyCityPTKWF I don't have any way to do that at the moment, but to give you an idea of the two-handed stick system based off traditional single stick techniques, I think if you saw them you'll like them?. The traditional disarms of single stick techniques still can apply
