Sure this help multiple people, just don’t understand why I’m seeing most of these problems are from Ken wood stereos. I’ve recently brought the KMM-BT732HD last week and having these same problems

You're supposed to apply thermal paste to that cpu plate before screwing that heatsink back on. Otherwise it'll overheat and damage the cpu

Hello and thank you for posting this video. I was at my wit's end and ready to replace my Kenwood KMR-D562BT marine radio. I tried all the suggestions found on other KZbin videos with little to no success. I removed the aluminum heat sink as you suggested and like yours, the terminals on the lower section of that chip were corroded horribly. I cleaned and brushed die-electric grease on the terminals and the back of the heat sink, I reassembled everything and so far my radio has been working properly. The sad part is, it's a marine radio that's supposed to be sealed against the elements yet Kenwood chooses to leave these terminals exposed to the weather. Can you say "Planned obsolescence"! Thanks again.

THANK YOU!!! Sorted out the same error message on a Kenwood KMR-D562BT. To future-proof, would you (or anyone else) recommend a cleaning solvent and a protectant? Toward that end, can the chip (?) be "unplugged" so that it can be soaked/cleaned and then treated to prevent future corrosion? In case it helps anyone searching for a solution - the exact error message on my deck was: MISWIRING CHECK WIRING THEN PWR ON miswiring check wiring then pwr on
@ondiznutz5 жыл бұрын
Glad it helped... I'm no expert but I would try some silicone GREASE for electronics. Just a thin coat...

I'll give it a shot - thanks! My deck is supposedly a Marine deck - so I can no doubt expect more corrosion if I don't treat it. Thanks again - this fix is absolute GENIUS!

I removed that heat sink and it worked. Don't know for how long but I put it back on and it returned to Miswiring.... Code. I screwed it back on with 1 screw. Weird. Some short with the screws. Now, I added the 2 remaining screws and now it works. It didn't work.

What did you do after taking the back off. Did you just clean what you could see or did you pull that part off to clean
@ondiznutz5 жыл бұрын
I cleaned what I could see with the limited tools I had at the time... rag, toothpick, knife, and compressed air.... it had corrosion across all those pins causing it to short out.

That was exactly what it was. Thanks
