Putting the needle down for the first time on the Fillmore East album changed my life forever. I ended up picking up the guitar, studying my heart out, and eventually getting a doctorate in music. One of my biggest thrills was seeing Gregg sitting in with another band at a small club in Virginia Beach ca. '77. We sat 6-7 feet away from him and were mesmerized the whole night.

Man, I have hung out with these guys for years on the east side of Indianapolis at Zanies 2. Every Tuesday and Sunday. Should see him with his Les.....Even went to Gene's house after a gig a couple times to hang out. The after show was even better. I was there when his first album came out. This song is awesome and live? Get out of here. Man....love this guy. Good on you Gene. Yeah, I am in Texas now, but when I go home, it is a must see.
