I love what your doing, i just graduated from nursing school and would like to one day own a homestead and invest in real estate as well, hopefully i get there one day. Are you wanting to do a community living thing with your homestead ?
@AishaCRNA6 ай бұрын
Yes! That is the plan. It will be a community. We believe that is one of the major elements lacking in modern society. So a community homestead development is underway! Beautiful new homes! Yoga/Fitness studio. Stocked pond. The whole9

Glad you are back, Aisha!! I am interested in taking a few of the courses you are offering through the Ditch the Bedside community--I too am a CRNA, went 1099 straight after graduating a year ago (first brick wall regarding lenders willing to fund w/o 2 years of 1099 income) and have a STRONG desire to diversify my income and shift into real estate (including airbnb). My questions are 1) is there an a la carte type of option that doesn't necessarily include the CRNA prep items and 2) does it sound like your course could be of benefit to someone in my specific situation? Thank you in advance, you are truly in inspiration!

There is! network.ditchthebedside.co/ Select the real estate course. Only thing is that you will not have access to monthly sessions where you can ask questions etc

Hello. I saw your reddit post from 6 months, and I wanted to ask some questions about your CRNA career in the Air Force, but the post was archived. I hope you don't mind me asking here: You said you served three years and then separated. I know that the minimum Active Duty requirement is 3 years, but I'm curious about what it's like being on ready reserve. Do you know if reserve CRNAs get deployed a lot in the AF? Is it safe to take a full-time job as a CRNA while on reserve, or do you have to play it safe and work part-time just in case you get deployed? How does the 8-year commitment factor into life after active duty? I appreciate you sharing your experiences!
@AishaCRNA6 ай бұрын
Great questions. So it is IRR. Inactive Ready reserve. I am not like a reservist. It would take A LOT (of which I won't even speak) for me to ever be needed again. I am way different than other reservists.

Hello Aisha, I'm considering the military for the CRNA USAGPAN route. Im a little older in my late 30s and I figured it would be a good route to be paid while in school and to have the years in school also count towards retirement. Now that a few years have passed, do you think the military was ultimately a financially wise choice and how is the work-life balance? Im thinking about the 8 years active and retiring in the reserves or just doing the reserves as an RN.

I loved this conversation, especially about how to offer more holistic health services! I grew up in a very health conscious/holistic health centered family. I’m a novice cardiac rn and have been so conflicted working in the hospital (I call it the underworld). I’d love to do research on different healing techniques. Albert Hoffmans book on LSD conjured a lot of thoughts about how to approach this.
@AishaCRNA8 ай бұрын
Oooh I want to read this. Thanks for the suggestion. And glad you liked it. Underworld is right. I had a lot of thoughts about working in a place where I felt like devices were being overused Nd not helping patients

Tip numero uno, don’t waste your time handwriting notes… grad school baby.. learn to type.. can type 4 times faster than handwriting.. left out chirality is on a Carbon compound which is technically an enantiomers that make up a race mix mixture.. get way more detail typing.. the kids who hand write and draw are the kids that fail.. professor are spouting 10,000 plus words per lecture.. not drawing pics and highlighting 😂

I am currently startings interviews for CRNA school (YAY!). I want to go the HPSP route since i am a mother of 4 and have not gotten the chance to save a whole bunch. What does the 3 years of commitment look like afterwards? I know pay will be lower than other places, but the benefits make up for it, I'm more questioning deployments.
