Drea - great Vlog - Quick question, why do you use a 5x7 hoop for a 4x4 design?

This was not a design that fits in a 4x4 hoop. Each feltie was 2 inches tall plus the space in between exceeds the 4x4 hoop sewing field so I have to use the next size up, the 5x7 hoop.

I was wondering the same thing. I am an embroiderer and loved watching your channel because you use Embrilliance. I still love your channel. But I noticed you were using Hatch and was Oh no! Another person not using Embrilliance. I used to think Hatch was just for people who were doing digitizing and digitizing only. I am not a digitizer. I don't want to be a digitizer but I have made my own designs because I couldn't find them to purchase anywhere. Which is why I spent so much money buying the different parts of Embrilliance. I have spent so much on Embrilliance it's not even funny. But everywhere I turn everyone's using Hatch and I am like do I really need to buy Hatch? I take it soooo hard to spend anymore money buying embroidery software. I guess I said all that to say, as someone using both. What would you recommend based on your experience? Whatever thoughts you share, I would appreciate it.

No need to worry. I have a lot of Embrilliance short form content 99% of it is on Tiktok. We're splitting designs, merging, color sorting, and talking about Embrilliance shortcuts over there. I do own more than one software. I teach people how to use a variety of softwares. If you have Embrilliance questions you can always ask me. I like to make videos based on the needs of my viewers. This particular video was requested.

@@ycquanx I own both. I haven’t switched over to Hatch. I use them both. I plan on adding other brands of software to my collection to learn, grow, and help others who can’t find support online.

I feel that the 500e has a large enough hoop for my children's clothing business. I actually ordered the RB28E hoop to see what the size was like and it is definitely the largest hoop size that I will ever need. I was looking at other brand machines with larger hoops but they are all older and outdated and I don't want to buy a secondhand machine for $500+ just to have the motherboard go out a few months later and then not have anyone to service it.

There are an array of reasons some include: dull needle, the wrong sized needle, tension issue, the thread itself, etc. The first thing I would do it change out my needle to a new needle in the right size.

The 500E and 550E are both single needles. My Melco is a 16 needle. It's a totally different brand.

@@TheMajenos5 yes, the affordability of a single needle does mean you have to change out your thread. How many times depends on the project. On a multi needle you will also have to change the thread if you are working something that cannot be made with the colors already loaded onto your machine.

Yes, technically people use even smaller hoops to embroider on sweatshirts. What really matters is the size of the design you want to put on the sweatshirt. The size of designs will determine the hoop size you’ll need and the machine you should purchase.

@@TheMajenos5 Depends on the size of the letters. The 500E biggest hoop is 8x11, the 550E goes up to 8x14. Each one also has smaller hoops for different projects.

Hi, talking about hoops, I am about to by an Skyline S9 that comes with 3 hoops, I am new with Janome machines so, I wonder If I can use a biger hoop with these machine even if it is not included. ? I want to quilt and find rather small this hoops. But I realy like this machime. It is like the small version of MC 15000. Thanks
