4:10 here's the thing about movement, me and my gang literlaly never use any form of movement except maybe elytras but we also don't really bum rush the end. So all of these changes would only make us want to use those forms of travel even less lol. Also jetsarfish's whole thing is that the game isn't RPG enough, and doesn't force you to travel the world. Which is silly and stupid if you play minecraft with mining and crafting, and not just combat

I feel like people only ever talk about speed when it comes to travel, but minecarts arent meant for speed, they are meant to reduce travel effort. By laying a powered rail system beforehand, you can make long distance travel later without having to be at pc, meaning you can make a bathroom break, go get more water/food, or think about your plans while on the journey, without having to pause the journey
