The Protagonist (Rick Latimer) Totally describes me!!! Slight drinking problem. Loose cannon. Divorcee. In a wee bit of trouble with the law. Past The Point Of No Return in his career!! But willing to give someone the shirt off my back if I feel they deserve it! I was in my junior year of high school when this movie was released and the epitome of a nerd! Funny how life imitates art, or vice versa, isn't it!!!!!🧐😢😢

It is interesting how the board of directors wanted him to go to brandell high school. However, I think the board of directors knew deep down inside, he would stand up against the drug dealers and gangs of the school. Great movie 👌👍👍😀

I respectfully disagree. I think the School Board saw Latimer as a problem child/liability waiting to happen and they sent him there waiting for him to fall flat on his face and quit! Because That's what haters do! They WAIT for you to fail!!!.😮And when Latimer realized what he'd gotten himself into; when he realized "garbage never leaves the dump"; he said what have I got to lose. I'm past The Point Of No Return! "This is all I got. This is It!!" I'm not going to give those Mothers the satisfaction!!! EFF 'Em!!!❤😂😊
