Kirk crossed boundaries with his music. He was even was one of Jimi Hendrix’s favorite musicians. They talked about making some recordings together.

Virker ikke å stå tilbake for noen av de mest kjente og berømte Hot club.orkestre i verden. Det er en egen ydmyk sjel i tonene fylt av litt vemod og drømmer med...litt dvelende lykke...

Astonishing from Warne Marsh. It’s difficult. It’s important. It shocks some students who are already good players. Warne Marsh. Among the greatest improvisers in modern musics.

I love these so much that I feature a Hardanger fiddle in one of my novels. He's a traveling tent musician who kept a diary in the late 1800s to early 1900s. (Wish I could have found a great HF photo to use for the cover!)

Amazing! Playing clarinet and tenor sax at the same time in tune??? Rahsaan played macho clarinet, I guess. I have Bright Moments live album when he played 'Jitterbug Waltz' on clarinet and won the polls! What a scholar of woodwinds .

The baritone player has a really nice sound, warm and resonant. I don't like a baritone sound that is very bright for jazz, or so dark it loses resonance.

I think this music video is one of the best music videos that ever have been made in Norway... It is such a strong and healthy expression of aggression, and it really help me to formulate myself regarding questions about hate-cultures in Norway.

I was lucky enough to pick up Tom Anderson's fiddle book in a Gjenbruk butikk a little while ago.. I belong to a giddle group here and see a lot of similarity between Shetland and Norwegian fiddling. I don't know if the dances are slo a bit similar.
