that's a great idea to paint the number on the tree trunk vs a tag, i hope that you succeed in producing 500 or more new mango varieties before your work is done

We do not encourage potted trees to flower here at the farm. Many of them just bloom on their own.

Does grafting a scion from a seedling onto an established tree decrease the time it would take for the seedling to produce fruit?
@TrulyTropicalКүн бұрын
Yes, that is what we have observed.

Do you have any one gallon pots you’d part with???

Unfortunately right now we are a bit short of those as we are propagating our new mango varieties like Lemon-esh and Monty.

@TrulyTropicalКүн бұрын
We have seen fruit as soon as one and one half years.

Very informative video. I had to turn and look away while she was using a saw to cut the stalk down while checking for further fungus growth. This sawing/cutting practice is an accident waiting to happen. As a professional, please teach others the proper/safer way to use cutting tools. Thanks again for a nice informational video.

I am spraying mine with trichoderma this year. It is a fungus that prevents other fungi like anthracnose and powdery mildew taking hold. Seems to be working.

Chris , the Rosa thats has the PM , is where it has the PM on the NW side of the tree ? i think the NW sides of trees are most prone to it because it takes them longer in the am to dry from the night's dew . and that elongated exposure makes it easier to be infected . ( in the northern hemisphere. id think it would be the SW side for southern hemisphere people )

Pickering has a reputation for being slightly more cold hardy than most varieties. However, as a semi-dwarf here in Florida it might grow very slowly in CA.
