Such a long time since I saw this! Have it on VHS somewhere but nothing to play it on for many years. I think this was a brave song for GN to do, particularly since it was never a single. He also did an early version on the Leo Sayer show 👍 ♥

Berserker is an underated album masterpiece, I like this version, it seems funny seeing Caroline Munro on backing vocals, saying that she released a single on Gary Numan's Numa label written and produced by Numan, Gary Numan is also the only rock star to get away with and suits blue hair, anyone else just looks stupid....

It was never released as a single. And I think the latino vibe missing from this live performance had trumpets. This was my favourite song from the album.

This is probably the worst live version of this song I've seen...no hate, I'm huge fan of Numan and love this song, it's one of my most favorites, but this version isn't that good...

When was this originally broadcast? Looks like mid to late 1984, before the Berserker tour but after the Leo Sayer performance? Thanks for posting, never seen before!!

Yeah, never really understood why some fans were turned away by the music and image from Berserker. I'm sure to stir a few here but White Noise is one of my favorite Numan live albums. Lots of energy and great atmospherics. Probably one of the better live versions of Cars also, a song which is usually a little ho-hum live.

I would say berserker album and the fury where his last decent albums he did in 80's until scarifice back in 1994 and has got better ever since!!!! I really like the berserker image suited the times but looks really cheesey now but hey it was the 80's.

Of all the different images Numan had I think the Berserker, Warriors and The Fury are my least favorites. But, I think this song is pretty good. That's how Numan's albums became after I, Assassin. There would be maybe 2 good songs and the rest were crap.
