It is. As a solo traveler, I actually ate the street food there every night. I took a bus from Nonhyung gangnam all the way there. The people are nice and it's easier getting food for one since everywhere else like restaurants are only open to serving 2 or more people

Timing is everything. I’ve been to both Shinjuku (around 2 pm for a late lunch - zero queue) and shibuya (about 7 pm for an early dinner - 10 minute queue. Could NOT believe the line outside when I finished though. It’s one of the few restaurants that’s open all day and doesn’t close after lunch so there’s just no point waiting. Just go back another day if possible or arrange to go during non peak hour.
