hey man this is rubbish way of doing this - easy for you but not good for the owner of this house. You should remove the whole floor correctly install membrane, put in the correct way the mineral wool put the vape barrier and after install floor. The way you did is that yes youve done something but this something is not the right thing

I think I've done like you are saying except the vape barrier underneath a non brithabele vinyl floor. What's the point
@ChagosIslandCrimeOfUSAUK29 күн бұрын
Also, one could argue with this guy on the video I sent because he could have laid the membrane under the joists rather than on top of them, and avoided the zigzagging and messing around with sealing the heating pipes. The question is whether the membrane is really necessary, because if there is ventilation, then the membrane is an unnecessary luxury. I’m also not sure if the vapor barrier is a good idea, because even if the wool (insulation) gets moisture from the room, and there is ventilation under the floor, theoretically that ventilation will remove the moisture. So it would be enough to just lay a mesh to support the wool, the wool itself, and then the floor on top of i

Excellent video, thank you for posting. One question if I may. How do you Isolate the cistern water supply for routine maintenance like changing the flush rubber gasket? Does it mean you need to remove the throne each time, thereby risking creating a pan collar gasket leak. 😁. Cheers from Michael. Australia.
@How2ExtremeАй бұрын
Hi. Yes the toilet needs to go out to do that type of maintenance. The main water supply can be closed if somthing bad happens. My clients usually don't want to see any pipes on the wall's, that's way it's all hidden behind.thanks for your message
@beks1731Ай бұрын
Great job! It's just a shame the client didn't want to put insulation under the floor. He certainly wouldn't regret it. You could have put on a liquid foil or a special roofing felt designed for building interiors.

Hi, Great video. Very detailed and helpful. I have a fibreglass flat roof around 13 square meters and looking tired. It's not been maintained for about 20 years and It's not leaking (thank God). I want to put something on it before it starts leaking. Ideally I am looking for a weather/water proof product that dries hard, anti slip and non tacky as sometimes in the summer I go onto the roof to sweep up any debris/ moss/ leaves etc. I am avoiding any catalyst mixing, incase i get it wrong. Could you please recommend a suitable product Thnx Hasnain

Hi, i know this is unrelated to this video but i want to ask a question about external foam insulation. Isaw in one of your video you applied a "base coat" with adhesive/render before you applied the reinforcement mesh, then in another video you just put the fiberglass mesh directly on the foam and apply the render/adhesive after and press it though the mesh. Can you give a little explaination of why you do the different methods? i have a Concrete block house in Norway that i am looking to DIY insulate with foam.
@How2Extreme2 ай бұрын
The right way to do it is by applying the adhesive and then the mesh , especially on the blocks where ghosting will show when cold or humidity is high outside. Ghousting = you will see the mortar joints in bad weather

Hi. They are not essential, but if you dont use them, you are going to have some termal bridging and ghosting on the render when it is too hot inside and cold outside
