C6 Z06 and ZR1 were the best Corvettes ever made. Must have the color Jetstream Blue!!!!

I think your opinion on the price is going to be wrong. Not hating here. I love the video, but you did say you don't think it'll start less than one ninety , but you think it'll top out fully loaded at two thirty. That doesn't make sense. That's only 40K in options.

I’m not a huge huge fan of the C8 but good freaking lord the new ZR1 is just absolutely insane looking and for them to make almost 1100 horsepower is just nuts and a top speed of 215 ok who really pissed off GM
@gavinsnyder90283 күн бұрын
I seen videos of it and the thing that's funny is the C8 ZR1 sounds like a McLaren and that's not a bad thing lol. I'm sure definitely more reliable than a McLaren too lmao.

When has the c8 z06 struggled to put power to the ground? Show me when this has happened? I have not seen this complaint from anyone. They all say grip for days.

Idk why everyone thinks the car will start at $190,000. There's no way they go up nearly double in price for the starting price. I think the car starts at $160k but fully loaded with the ZTK package and 3ZR Im thinking 220-230. But I feel extremely confident that a base 1ZR coupe with no options, should be in the 165k range. I believe the Zora will start at 200k and fully loaded that car will be 300k without markups.

They claimed a 2.85s 0-60 time with the C7 ZR1. And I believe mid 10s in the 1/4. In no way shape or form can the car do that on the street. Not even close. Ideal conditions on a prepped track? Ok. Now the C8 platform puts power down a whole lot better. But getting a quarter mile in the 9s on the street…I too am a bit skeptical. On a prepped track? Of course.
@HTownDom3 күн бұрын
No company that states performance figures is doing it based on the street when roads are different literally from block to block in some cities. It's always on a prepped surface or on a track. C7 ZR1 can do those numbers on a track. Probably didn't mean to say it can do the same numbers on the street because nothing except EVs can get close to their track numbers on the street. At least from a dig. Rolling starts are different obviously.

First the the ZR1 is a remarkable vehicle, and being an American car guy I’m happy to see American ingenuity with all the American brands currently, but something about this new C8 ZR1 it doesn’t do anything for me. I’m still on the bandwagon for missing front engine Vettes. Again the car is cool but when I think “ZR1” I’m thinking of a raw supercharged V8 with a manual. And on the contrary I’d still rather have a ACR-E. Dodge actually showed us the 13 SCAA records the ACR broke at launch the fact Chevy isn’t sharing track times turns me off from that car.
@illlya68143 күн бұрын
It's under 10 seconds. They have already tested it. He would not say under 10 seconds if he didn't already know. If you were in charge, wouldn't you have already tested the car.

So I'm going to educate you a little bit here okay. First of all with turbos until you get to about 2000 RPM You're not getting anywhere near full power. With this engine. Remember it's virtually the same engine as the ZO6 flat plane crank. So you're going to get the same performance off the line but as soon as you're rolling to about 20 mph then the power is going to start kicking in exponentially. At 3000 RPM then you're getting 800 lb foot of torque and that is the moment you worry about wheel spin. By that time you're doing about 40 45. The weight transfer from the launch is already on the back wheels. This is physics. When the turbo start really spooling up at 3,000 RPMs and more all the way up to 7000 that's when you get the power and the vehicle is transferring weight even harder on the back wheels. This is a strategy that Corvette team has put on. Not to mention my friend it is mid engine so you automatically get way better traction initially than you would with the configuration of your vehicle. The weight distribution with a heavier engine in the back with all of its extra components is an advantage. If you want to you probably can burn out all day with it but if you go into launch control you won't have these problems. This car will pull so hard after the $2,500 RPM Mark that you're either going to squeeze shit out into your underwear all the way up to 7000 or it's going to take a long time to get acclimated to that kind of power. I'm giving you factual information. Like your video but until you own amid engine it's hard to understand. I believe it's 60 rear 40 front and weight transfer is a lot quicker and a lot harder plus with the magna logical dampers they are generation 4 and they also can push down harder in milliseconds. The system is programmed by computer to do so also mitigating wheel spin. This car is a beast and it's going to be sub 2.5 seconds 0 to 60 like an all-wheel drive.

@user-mm8ws6no4q12 күн бұрын
Honestly challengers are nice and everything but to pay that much for small differences, it bugs me like you can get a V6 Challenger that comes with the wide body option, to look like a hellcat or a redeye or even a demon minus the hood. I am a mustang guy and mustang's have different body styles. For example, the gt500, the super snake, gt350, roush, saleen, steeda, etc. So in the end for the price of the demon 170 I would rather get a GT500 Super Snake with an actual wide body
