Papua New Guinea is ready to bring a team to the NRL we can recruit players from our Pacific brother Countries like, Australia, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Fiji and other rugby league nation like England, USA, France, Wales and South Africa to help us form the team to to the NRL.

I guess they delayed to 2028 is to give them time to build New PNG NRL city outside of Port Moresby itself to suit their requirements for their security and standard .

This is a very good initiative by the Albanese government to strengthen Australia's relationship with Papua New Guinea. Having a PNG team in the NRL is the right step towards achieving that goal. I totally agree with the idea. 👏🏾👏🏾👍🏾💪🏾
