The blue ones are E X Detailing brushes, the green and red one is from Vikan, the tyre brush is a Tuff Shine brush (I think?!?) and the little one for the wheel nuts a rubbish little brush from somewhere (unbranded)

Yes, the product was added to the bucket at the start of the video. I didn't think a video of me washing the whole car would be that interesting (plus battery was on the way out!)

It's about par for the course for 1 litre or buy the 2.5 litre and spray bottle..... Remember it's a cleaner as well as a fall out remover so your buying one product and not two

Hey Stu, with respect - that's not comparing apples with apples. This is a wash and protect product, it isn't the same as a paste wax. That would be like comparing the paste wax you mentioned with a 5 year ceramic coating - they just aren't the same thing. I would expect any decent, dedicated paste wax to perform better on the protection front, than a 2 in 1 product like the Ceramic Wash & Protect shown in the video. The shampoo is doing the wash and the protect, the dirt has to be rinsed away, but protection has to remain. There is a lot of clever stuff going on. With paste waxes you are literally smearing on protection, like you would butter a slice of bread. You can control the amount of wax applied with the applicator, you can really cake it on. The beauty of the product shown is it combines two stages into one, we aren't trying to go up against dedicated protection products here.

HI Robert, that sounds like a good thing to do - get in touch with Autoglym directly for help. They will be able to assist you and understand where things went wrong. As you can see, there was no such residue on my car in the video, nor on any of the others the product was tested on during development (or it would not have been released!). I'm sure the excellent customer care team will be able to help you out.

I understand from colleagues that we have already responded and advised you that it appears to be watermarks and provided guidance on how to remove them. Hopefully all sorted.

HI Gavin, thanks for the feedback - I am sure Autoglym will want to know if you don't mind dropping them a line? I didn't seem to have any issues with mine, although when I get more I will go for the 2.5L refill and bang it in a pump up sprayer anyway, as that is my preferred way of applying wheel cleaners. Aside from the trigger, how did you find the product?

@@markfromautoglym the product is good but u must noticed when u used it comes out in a jet not a spray so time consuming many others have made the same comment who reviewed it to my trigger failed because it can’t cope I have told autoglym

Thanks for the feedback, hand held pump up sprayers are certainly my preferred method for wheel cleaners and the larger 6L pump ups for pre-spray application. Can you expand on the wheel shampoo comment? What are you looking for?

@@markfromautoglym 100% mate pump sprayers all the way. So an alkaline shampoo to use in your wheel bucket and also apply via a foaming pump sprayer to the wheels for regular cleaning. There are a few out on the market and they are really nice to use and cost effective 👌👌

If you are using Polar Seal and Aqua Wax too, I would use a different shampoo first. I would use this on washing sessions where you just want to use one product, a quick fire and forget solution. in my opinion there isn't much point using this if you are going to apply more protection afterwards, you may as well just use a normal shampoo -- the value in this comes from combining two steps into one. If you use Polar Seal and Aqua Wax or similar, they will last weeks and months before they need a top up - so use this 2 in 1 shampoo as a top up wash to maintain and restore the protective layers.

Yup, almost like a 2 in 1. It won't replace dedicated protection like RCS in terms of durability, but if you only had this one product and used this once a week or once a fortnight, I think you'd be happy with what it provided and how long it lasted.

Thank you 👍 You are being too kind, I have a tendency to ramble on a bit. Hope you got something useful from the video though - the bottom line is, i think its a great product that combines cleaning and protecting very well. If you can get past the fact the shampoo doesn't foam then you will be rewarded with a superb finish.

Yea autoglym very expensive though i've only ever used the wonder wheels 600ml from screwfix on two friends cars and it worked brilliantly at a cost of £6.99. Just checked and it's £7.99 but works great. Agree a no brainer.

😆 It was a bit excessive wasn't it! Fortunately it appears you do not have to use anywhere near as much to get a great result -0 several other reviewers have used a more normal amount and reported the same results.

Nope, it won't do. Although clearly any brushing or rubbing and in fact rinsing will have an effect on the wax on the wheels - but I think the gist of your question is "if I use this will all my wax be gone?" the answer is "as long as you put a decent wax on with good detergent resistance, no". UHD Wax would be a great choice for instance as it is resistant to detergents.

@@markfromautoglym I use Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax on my car & wheels.

Thank you, it ended up a bit long, but hopefully contains some useful nuggets. No problem on questions on other products. You should use Magma and Liquid Clay on a washed vehicle that has the initial layer of "normal" dirt removed, so the Magma or Liquid Clay can get at the iron contamination without a layer of dirt "hiding", it if you see what I mean. That allows the product to work more effectively as it can react with the iron which is the whole reason you would use Magma or Liquid Clay. So unless you want to be busy and dry the car before use, that will mean using it on a wet or at best damp car. The only downside to this is that the product will be further diluted as it mixes with the remaining rinse water on the car. However, Autoglym took this into account when developing it, and therefore it should not pose a problem. In summary, strictly speaking Magma and Liquid Clay will work best on a dry surface, however, the differences caused by any remaining rinse water on the car are likely to be negligible, and it is far more important that you use it on a washed surface than a dirty one.

@@markfromautoglym Thank you so much for the full detailed reply back, what I am going to do is place magma on a fully washed and tried car and see if I get results on my car for some reason does not react red for some reason very little, plus my wheels react faster with other fallout removers on the market I'll have another go with magma on a dry surface normally spray when the surface is damp. I wanted to ask if Autoglym can make a stronger faster removing iron fallout remover, a improved v2 version will be nice having the best of both worlds a stronger blend.

Here in the UK we don't have laws which prevent us from washing chemicals down the drain. I know some other countries it is forbidden. I can only assume the very small amount of chemical is very very heavily dilluted once rinsed away

In the UK there's nothing illegal in it so what's your point

Ha 😄 That little bucket previously held 50 fat balls for the bird feeder - I found it nested quite nicely in my car wash bucket and have used it ever since #recycling As for the brush, I'll try the large brush from the Custom Wheel Cleaner Kit, that might do the trick.
