Wonderful and practical presentation, thank you! Unfortunately, it is very hard to apply successfully in a classroom with different students levels from high advanced to bellow two-three academic levels in a classroom in which students expectations are standardized.

I love this SO much. I'm a homeschooling mom who takes my kids to library programs frequently and one thing I notice is that most children have no idea how to ask a proper question or answer a question with a solid statement of facts. This has been my current focus with my kids.

Thanks for your comment! Glad to hear you spotted this difficulty children have and are working on it with your kids! Bravo mom!

Hi! I am a future teacher graduating this December. What is your opinion on the emphasis on the “Science of Teaching and Reading” being taught to teachers? How has it impacted your reading instructional techniques? When do students start to improve in their reading?

Hey there, I believe that incorporating the Science of Teaching into your instruction is paramount to teaching reading, especially in grades TK-3. It's been glossed over for quite a few years, but now it's being emphasized and returning to many, many schools. It's in the title if you're unsure of Dr. Archer's opinion, it's part of the magic!

Excellent training! Dr. Archer is leading the way back to sanity in education. Midland, Texas is using her Phonics for Reading this year with their third grade through sixth grade classes, which is a welcome, but long overdue, improvement.

Man, this just covered and confirmed all my thoughts and approaches I was thinking about doing this year. I'd say that is a good sign!

@@kellysiebert7186 When you scroll ahead, it is not blurry, or did you mean it is blurry? It is looking clear on my end. What a mystery! It may be the way I uploaded the video. I haven't heard any other mention of blurriness from viewers, but maybe I uploaded this video differently in a way that is affecting some people's viewing. Thank you for the feedback. Please feel free to send us an email, and I will troubleshoot more with you.

Thank you so much for this series. I have a 10-year-old boy who spent 5 YEARS in the special needs group. They determined he has a sensory processing disorder, and all of the goals were geared toward helping with that. IN 5 YEARS none of the "authorities" noticed he has dyslexia. it wasn't until we homeschooled for 6 months, and after hours of researching on my own, that I learned this child has dyslexia. Now that I know he has dyslexia, we work differently, and he is finally learning and retaining. Again, thank you for being part of our autism with dyslexia journey. 🙂
