Hello, fellow Valley of the sun rider! I finally found a fat tire ebike for my brother who wants passenger capabilities for his young daughter. Only to find out the Ride1up Rift is already discontinued! I have heard that Step thru bikes can have a tendency to go into a "Death Wobble". I was just curious if you have experienced any such occurrences ? Hopefully Not, As I may be able to acquire a used model. I don't know why the bike is already discontinued , most reviews I've seen are great and the specs are great also. Thanks for any info!
@RiverbedRides2 ай бұрын
My wife and I have never experienced the "death wobble" on the step through version ourselves. Strangely though, it wobbled like crazy when a friend of ours rode the bike. We couldn't figure out why it would only wobble with her on it.
@leeonthegrass2 ай бұрын
@@RiverbedRides Glad to hear you have not had much of a wobble problem. From what I can tell the death wobble is often caused from unequal weight distribution. When more weight is placed on the rear tire, the front tire loses traction and the wobble is induced. Sometimes poor design and frame flex is the problem, sometimes both. Hopefully you don't experience any problems with your bike. I will keep an eye out for you at Tempe Town lake and maybe someday we can discuss your awesome bike in person. Thanks for the info!

The product information claims that the e-bike is IPX4 waterproof and can withstand spray from wet roads or light rain. However, Jasion does not recommend riding in heavy rain or submerging the bike. I wouldn't personally trust any of the electronic components in the rain.

These are the state of charge lights. Green means good, yellow means low and red means bad. Since there are five, I would assume each represents 20%. Meaning red means 20% left, two green means 80% left. I wouldn't bet the farm on the accuracy of them though.
