I’m new here. I was minding my business on my Roku tv last night, not bothering no one, right? I’m watching my little interviews, hot ones with quest love, I saw Kendrick’s little drive around with timothee chalamet, had my water. Just a fine night. My algorithm knows I love Kendrick. We all do. That plus the superbowl hype- the suggestions are heavily Kendrick based right? Love it, keep em coming. I clicked on this video thinking it was gonna be some cool version of don’t kill my vibe and call it a day. I did the thing where you don’t click the video, but have the cursor on it so that it previews it. I heard literal 5 seconds and said, yea this is different. I’m a music lover. Music of all sorts. I have love for jazz but I don’t say that much because typically jazz snobs will just try to g check you and call you a casual for enjoying miles Davis or ella fitz. But jazz is a beautiful beautiful beautiful art form and the mother of my particular favorite genre, hip hop. I learned a lot of jazz through hip hop samples and have even played in jazz bands before, as I’m a musician myself. The complexities are different than any other genre in its irregular times, it’s unusual harmonies and its sense of “feeling” superseding the standards of “traditional” musical rules. I love jazz, a whole lot. You guys were AMAZING. never heard of ya before and oh my god!!!!! What a pleasant surprise for my random Saturday night tv scrolling. I was thrilled to see YOUNG PEOPLE exposed to and participating in this sort of art. I don’t think you guys truly know how special this is. This isn’t regular and I had to take time to switch to my phone and let y’all know, y’all are some killers!!!!!! Drummer was killing, sax killing, piano killing, vocalists killing. Y’all are nastyyyyyyy (respectfully). Subscribed asap. Can’t wait to binge all your past stuff. I saw y’all did something about doom if I’m not mistaken. Like Kendrick, that’s MY BOYYYYY. As a hip hop head, I’m super excited to explore yall stuff and be there for new stuff after this. Peace from New York!

This is one of the coldest performances I've heard in a very long time with new fresh arrangements some of my favorite tunes. This is sparked me to dust off my Finale 25. I am greatly appreciative of this video, the band director in me can’t wait to share it with my students on Monday! We're about to take a dive into some light form and analysis/music theory with Count Me Out and that chord progression in the voice at the end and that tagline in All the Stars! The call and response vocals, the solos, homie on keys channeling Monk. The scat feel to the delivery and that suspension at the end.😩😮💨🤌🏿🙌🏿 Again, masterful work and kudos to all involved from set production to video I do photography, videography and teach it on the weekends with a nonprofit here in Atlanta. I understand everything it takes to put into this type of production. I see y’all. I appreciate y’alls dedication to the authenticity of the craft!

Gotdam, I love this so much. Commenting again because I’m so very moved by this. Thank you all, all the stars shining so bright here and releasing outwardly so much joy that many of us are all too happy to latch onto. As soon as I get a job I NEED this on vinyl. Thanks for taking a risk and taking on the financial burden of an indie recording. I have a funny feeling you will break even easily. Wishing the best for greater heights and I will link up to support you when I am able. Many blessings.
