Well I got a 29 president limousine looks just like this except for the divider with roll down glass. Hopefully I'll be able to get parts for it. And it's steering wheel is on the other side. If anybody knows about these cars I'd love to hear from them. Thanks

I just bought a 63 GT Hawk. It has bumperettes. I noticed the picture in this presentation showed a 64 with them as well. I wonder if they came back for the late 63 model cars? It could be that I have the wrong bumper on this car.

Obviously, our narrator is not from the Milwaukee area or even from Wisconsin, for that matter. FUN FACTS 1. Evinrude is pronounced exactly as it is spelled, EV-in-rude, not even-rude. 2 Oscar Mayer is pronounced MY-er, not May-or, so that tells me you've never even: a. eaten an Oscar Mayer Wiener b. owned or played an OM Wiener Whistle c. heard or sung the OM Wiener Song d. heard or sung the OM Bologna Song 3. The concept of Planned Obsolescence has been attributed to General Motors executive, Alfred P. Sloan Jr in 1924 4. Also, the man's name is Brooks Stevens, with an S, as opposed to Steven.🙄

Travis mentioned that he has over 50,000 photos, many of which are digitized and most of which I have seen. But what about the rest? Can the public visit the museum to view these photos?
@TravisChilds-vu8oy27 күн бұрын
Hi. Most images are viewable, however, you cannot just drop-in and thumb through our 50,000+ photographs (unfortunately). It would depend on what you would be researching as to what other images may exist.

I had a '62 Studebaker Hawk in the 1970's, and it would get 24 MPG on the highway driving from Fresno to San Diego. Just before that, I had a '62 Lark Cruiser, and it would get 22 mpg on the same drive. The Hawk had the 289 V8, and the Lark had the 259 V8. I guess that aerodynamics of the Hawk made the difference.

14:05 Weren’t all the Indy 500 pace cars convertibles at the time? That would explain why the official pace car used for the 1962 race was the Lark convertible, while the Avanti was the honorary pace car.

While the ‘58 Packard wagon was just plain weird looking, Studebaker hit it out of the park with the ‘63 Wagonaire. Brooks Stevens did so much with so little, and his sliding roof station wagon is a prime example. Imagine sitting in the third row seat with the top open and the tailgate window down. Fun, Fun, Fun!

I grew up in the days when having white wall tires and full wheel covers on your vehicle were standard on the upscale models, while black wall tires only came on the base models, unless you wanted to upgrade. White wall tires, unfortunately, were phased out when the European look for cars took hold.

This car has been altered a lot by the dealer that sold it or one of it's previous owners. Body Side Molding, Hood Ornament, full wheel covers, white walls were all added to the car which take away from the Police Car look.
