Perhaps one of the only games that makes me feel bad even at executing takedowns.

I use to run around all the time doing melee kills at any chance I got even if it meant getting killed but I rarely got killed by a melee weapon myself now see all the victims povs I can’t help but burst out laughing wondering the look on the players face and their reaction from getting melee killed my guess a lot of them were NOT happy

I wonder why they removed the dive right and left animations
@aviator19184 ай бұрын
I know that propably everyone already knows this but: these are the first version of melee animations, it was changed a little after some updates, for example, when you are doing a bayonet charge, your character isn't running with the rifle from side to side, it stays static until you stab the enemy (7:26). I also noticed that when you run with your knife in hand, your left hand isn't like this now: 0:05, or when you stand: 0:07.

I don't know. For me personally from research New York was very built up in the 18th century, and I can't stand the dirty broken wood on most of the buildings in Rogue (from experience playing, versus the other one which I haven't played). Secondly, why is it so goddamn dusty, there would be zero reasons why the 18th century in America would be dusty. There were perfectly clear bright blue sky days casting a light sun over the city, no fog in sight or a cloud. There would be blue casted dusk nights with fog 5 inches from you in every direction and the faint glow of lanterns (getting that colonial spooky esk vibe in there 😉) hardly visible. There'd be heavy showers of rain at sunset and snow at dawn, hurricanes, cold and warm weather ..etc etc etc. weird how these games force a specific dusty view and weirdly enough the "gamers" agree like they were there. I definitely admit that Rogue one makes New York look a little like Havana, but boy is it good (except from the roofs at daytime which look sharpened and barren). If they would just use read ships in the ports instead of terrible fake ships with a visible poly geometry and blurry paint than JUST PERHAPS it wouldn't feel so barren and absolutely uncanny valley. Speaking of valley, River Valley suffers from this, especially with Sleepy Hollow which feels too dusty and dirty which just haha, doesn't make sense! When you look at 17-18th century colony homes they have a rain washed dark wood effect, not the accent of floating dirt in the air quality presented in the two games. What's interesting as well as the depiction of color theory with tropical areas versus "white winter cabin" locations like New York. Assasins Creed III offers a more pale blue tint to the world opposed to the violent yellow that overwhelms the city design. Also, city buildings was ornate and well painted, embellished, and impressive around the 1600-1800 time period, and it's just..sorely lacking any compote of color distinction in both games, nothing overly clean or well painted :( On a side note, It would be so cool if you could fight the Santisma Trinidad Ship of the line in that game (the Man O war design is kind of off and repetitive with a lifeless deck and equally lifeless crew that feels like a bunch of NPCs on huge warships). Hope, hope hope hope they redo Assasins Creed Rogue in the rehashes they are coming out with...and make it easy on the eyes and realistic with better ship models that don't feel like the same 5 options and a city with the vague essense of 18th century architecture.

I've always enjoyed these takedowns (even if they kinda screw you up if there's a bunch of other enemies close by) but I never truly appreciated them until I watched this. They're much more brutal than they seem during a match. ESPECIALLY the clubs. Those things look absolutely gnarly to get hit with.

AC3 Parkour was smooth and weighty, simple and fun. But I enjoyed Rogue's parkour more maybe its because the stealth was better and less guards on rooftops. I prefer AC Syndicate parkour over Unity because of weighthy and it seems more polished.
