I'm only 20 so it'll probably be a long time before I ever own my own property, but when I do, I would love for nothing more than to use my green space for native plants. I cant stand uniform green lawns, I want to show my appreciation for this beautiful land.

Most of the samples you have are walkway, is it possible to use DG to create somewhat hilly landscape? To reduce the amount of work, I am thinking of just getting rid of 4" around the edges about 18" wide of my front yard lawn (without getting rid of the grass) and just smooth out the transition and install weed fabric, 1.5" road base, 2.5" DG with couple small rock ponds and couple wood chips areas for flowers (with composite edges) to make it more natural. Do you think that will work?

Yes, if the slope is not too steep (more than 30 degrees) otherwise the infill will be washed down the slope during the first big rain.

Hi Doug. Looks really cool. Are all these steps the same size? Just wondering if you cut the risers at different widths depending on what angle you were going to rotate the step by, or if they are identical and you just left a little overhang.

Ash tree are pretty rough on hardscape. When you say concrete, what type exactly? A patio, a foundation? I really like the Pistache.

These trees are a fcking nuisance. The local foothill rat populations have exploded as they love to forage the seed pods of these weeping abominations at night.
