If this was an intended skit on how to categorically misunderstand, it would be genius. Instead it's just Barry Norman at his usual worst. Middle-brow, middle-class and deeply anti-intellectual, Norman always considered cinema to be an entertaining rather than a cultural medium. Look at a list of his top 10 favourite films. Any cinephile would point and laugh.

It’s interesting to see one who usually dressed in Avant-garde look to be looking like a character in a Bogart or Indiana Jones movie. That triangular suit top of his reminds me of David Byrne’s oversized blockish suit top.
