Love this performance, especially because (good riddance!) no audience member interrupts any musical number, which is quite annoying, notably when the applause and noisy bravos occur half-way through a number and before it has ended.

Мезенцева- лучшая Жизель во все времена! Большая благодарность создателем фильма за это чудо. Счастлива, что неоднократно видела этот балет на сцене Мариинки. Дуэт Мезенцева- Заклинский уникален. Терехова в роли Мирты незабываема также! Оркестр звучит замечательно! 👏👏❤️❤️❤️

Ходят слухи, что Галина Мезенцева получила тяжелейшую травму ахилла в начале 80-х (примерно 81-84)! Интересно когда именно, чтобы четко понимать периоды "до и после" травмы! Странно, что она совсем пропала из поля зрения после 2001 года! Очень хочется узнать о её жизни сегодня!

this is the greatest masterpiece ever produced in a Giselle ballet. Everything is specially choreographed and enchanting. I get emotional every time I watch it. Galina and Tatiana are incomparable and memorable artists.

아마도 이작품은 천사님이 지은 것 아닐까? 왜냐하면, 감상 할때 마다 저절로 합장하게 되고 저절로 감동의 눈물이 흐르기 때문.... 특히 빅토르의 음악은 수정처럼 맑고 ㅒ끗하며, 가을 하늘에 피아난목화 송이 같이 풍성 하다. 메첸세바의 몸짓은 유려하고,실연의 아픔으로 실성한 지젤의 구구절절 눈물 가득한 눈짓 ,감성 연기와 Terekhova Myrtha의 카리스마는 돌아 보나 앞으로 보나 찿아보기 어려울 듯... 또 Volshoy는화려 하지만,군대 같이 경직됨을 느끼게된다.

발레의 고전 지젤!... 지젤의 고전 83키로프 지젤... 80년대 말에 티브이 방영할때 녹화 하여 틈틈이 보다가 테프 훼손되어 못 보게된 아쉬움에 몽매에도 갈망 하던 키로프 83지젤..... 올려주신 Toy님 분과 하나님께 감사 드리며 하나님 그리고 모든 존재들에게 올립니다.... Scala에서도 많은 공을 들여 작품을 발표 하였으나,소박하고 감칠맛 나는 정감은 키로프83 지젤이 교과서라 하겠읍니다... 특히 페도도프의 음악에 매료되어, 영상 없이 음악만 감상을 많이 합니다. 카라얀 리차드 보닝의 지젤 연주도 있기는 하던데요, 레닌그라드 오페라 발레 극장 오케스트라는 단연 최곰니다. 좋은 악기,훌륭한 연주자들,개성 가득한 카리스마 지휘자.... 다른 작품들을 보면 이 작품을 흉내내는 것같습니다.

Ms. Chenchikova had just turned 30 that summer, and danced the performance of a lifetime. I remember watching this in 1986 “live” with friends, and we were speechless. Perfection across the board-technique, musicality, character. All performed with such EFFORTLESSNESS. There are only a few videos of her, alas. I am so grateful that this is one of them!

How fortunate to have experienced this incredible rendition as it happened: she’s forever the ultimate Odette/Odile in my opinion. In fact, all the priceless footage of her work embodies the quintessential classical ballet ideal.

@@Toy1976 we weren’t at Wolf Trap for the performance, but it was a “live” broadcast which my friends (and millions of others) watched on television. Ballet interest was at an all time high in the USA around that time.

@@jeffreymiller4814 That was before PBS lost its funding. Dance in America vanished and with it future dance audiences. Now we're left with aging audiences who have money to buy ridiculously expensive tickets for very uninspiring perfs.

lucky Us I had the privilege in Toronto, being selected and rehearsing with Mr Falco prior to his passing those outfits were used for Juan Antonio's Company "Confidance" I also was given permission to outfit our Canadian dance troupe with some silk-painted outfits from Falco's Co. King of Hearts was a pas de deux with two Cards dueling for Power in a game of Masculine strength

The 1980s under the aegis of Oleg Vinogradov were a golden age for the Kirov CORPS DE BALLET. Their corps de ballet were matchless with simply no peer. Poetic, expressive, charismatic and burning with their own stage presence, the corps de ballet in any of their big ensemble pieces were a wonder to behold. They were especially astonishing to our western eyes, long accustomed to the disheveled and rather messy work that was routinely trotted out by the corps at NYCB and especially, ABT. At today's Maryinsky, succeeding Artistic Directors and company repetiteurs have done good enough work, but these days the corps de ballet are just good, very good even. But they're not Vinogradov's corps de ballet, and not the singularly impressive artistic body that even other ballet companies talked about in their heyday. In Swan Lake, my favourite scene came to be the opening and first waltz of the corps de ballet in ACT FOUR. I could have watched them dance that for hours.

Ах! Как я рада встрече с Ольгой Ченчиковой! Она мне понравилась еще тогда, на конкурсе. И мне очень понравилось, что ее пригласили в нам в Кировский театр... Вот она прямо НАША))))) Вот к сожалению про Константина.... ничего не могу сказать. В то время для меня существовал только Михаил Барышников. Ну, юношеский максимализм))))) Сейчас конечно удивляюсь сама себе, но годы прошли...
