This music was great on the jukebox, the sound of smartphones no longer allows you to reproduce the atmosphere of that time.

This is great, but man I wish this could have been produced in a retro Phil Spector style, as a follow-up to “Be My Baby,” instead of a modern pop idiom. Brian didn’t idolize him for nothing.

Just perfection. The Ronettes made such a huge impact on the American soundscape with relatively few records. Phil Spector was brilliant and had vision, but that perfectly youthful, yearning voice of Ronnie Spector is indispensable to their success.

I didn't know Darlene Love recorded this. It sounds alright. The Crystals and The Ronettes did too. But my favorite is the Dixie Cups' version.

1964-1965. Thiose years were the best for Pop/Rock Soul, etc. The Beatles, The Ronettes, Motown, etc. They don't make music like this anymore!😢😂❤❤

This is my favorite or at least one of my favorite Girl Groups of the 1960's. I used to confuse them with The Crystals and vice versa, until my sister set me straight about the two groups and from listening to the Oldies Station, WCBS-FM 101.1. But I wonder why they used to call Ronnie the "Bad Girl of Rock and Roll"? Was it because she sometimes wore tight skirts or clothes? I remember my older sister told me The Ronettes last hit was, "Walking In the Rain". I guess Phil Specter might have turned his attention away from The Ronettes, and towards The Righteous Brothers? Although The Ronettes recorded later songs that may not have become hits. Such as Born To Be Together and Is This What I Get For Loving You? When Ronnie married Specter, and although he made her practically a prisoner. I believe he did let her record, "I Can Hear Music." And she also recorded, "Don't Worry Baby." Which became bigger hits for The Beach Boys. But I heard Ronnie's versions of these songs, and they sound just as good as the Beach Boys versions. I jusr remember "Be My Baby," and "Baby I Love You," and " 1:03 Walking In the Rain

This is because I was born in 1957, and I only remember These three Ronettes Songs because I was only six and seven at the time. I don't remember this song by The Ronettes, because maybe it wasn't a big hit for them or it didn't get much airplay on the radio. But I remember hearing it for the first time on a Reprint of The Ronettes Debut LP. And I think, as with all the other songs on the LP, it sounded great, despite it was like I was hearing it for the first time. Also, I read in the book, The Girl Groups: The Story of a Sound." Spector when he was co-manager of Philles Records with Lester Silles, he had many songs at their record company that went unreleased, due to the fact that Spector had a fear of failure, despite Lester Stilles strong objections. Ronnie mentioned songs such as Born to Be Together and I Never Saw The Sunshine and Is This What I Get For Loving You? Speaking of Spector, I hope when he might've turned his attention away from The Ronettes, after marrying Ronnie, and then turning it towards maybe The Righteous Brothers, I hope that wasn't the start of poor Estelle Bennett's problems! Because maybe she didn't have a record label. I remember hearing that she took the place of Ronnie after she married Spector and moved into his mansion, while Estelle took over as lead singer of The Ronettes, and toured with The Beatles from 1965-66. And that was the last I read about her, before she started having problems. I wouldn't put it past Spector if he had something to do with the start of her problems?!

I suppose the production was by Phil Spector. It has the Wall of Sound sound. The man was a genius, but the genius was trapped in a problem.

Me and my girlfriend ran away from home back in the 60's and ended up in Florida in the middle of an orange grove with a flat tire and no spare, an empty gas tank and 13 cents in our pockets. We sat there listening to the radio until the battery started going dead. This was the last song we heard until it fizzled out. It always takes me back to that time in my life every time I hear it. Right now, I'm there again. Right in the middle of that orange grove with my baby. Im 74 now and looking back, it was one of the best times. Shes gone now, but we'll always be with each other in that orange grove listening to our song.
