Mr. Edmond, your music was my entrance to the history of Rhodesia. I am very glad to see your are doing well. As a veteran your songs have a special meaning to me, even if they speak of a time I was never apart of. Many of the messages and lyrics remind me of the good and bad times of being in the service. God bless you and your music, and cheers from Rhode Island.

John, this is a great song and it resonated with me strongly, as I also come from a place destroyed by Soviet funded Communism (Manchuria). Just one question: In the description, you say ZIPRA downed two Rhodesian Civilian Airliners. I found one to be Air Rhodesia Flight 825 from Kariba to Salisbury; what is the other one?
@JohnEdmondMusic10 күн бұрын
Thanks for listening🎶 the First was the Hunyani flight 825 on 3 Sept 1978 and the other Umniati flight 827 Feb 12 1979.

Good to see you; greetings from Gloucestershire - I'm a Marondera boy, went to Waddilove Missionary School when the country was a little hospitable, with decent civic amenities, despite the horror of apartheid!

The country is now a $hithole, thanks to black politicians - I was a schoolboy at a Harare African Secondary school before leaving the country in early 70s; despite the abominable oppression, the country was organised, civil amenities clean, infrastructure reasonable - now that's all gone; sewage smell starts at the airport - in short, the country & its people have gone to the dogs!
