I found the modelling "Spr Champ" goes soft (vol dn) on Modelling ch. A mate has what i covet; the Rivera-era Super Champ .. analogue obviously. Hav bin thru way too many gtrs/amps .. but hav settled on a Lawsuit 355 & a 77 Silver-face Champ & a reverb pedal. Ur VibroReverb Champ has the same airy sound as my Champ as they're half open-back .. i prefer airy open-back/don't like boxy closed-back sound.

Yeah I bought one at a pawnshop 3 years ago. I didn’t know exactly what it was but I saw tubes and saw the 130.00 price. They took 100.00 even. I play it a lot more than my blues jr. I love the bassman setting. Mine is some kind of a limited edition with cream colored tolex. There used to be a community out there that would tell you settings to get a perfect tone like by artist and song and the gilmour stuff was right on the money.

I just one this week, just an unmodded head. I've wanted one for years. I have a couple blues jr cabs with no chassis in either right now, and one has a WGS ET65, the other a UK Celestion Vintage 30. The V30 LOVES this amp! I live in an apartment and can't really push the amp, but it it fortunately takes drive pedals very well.

Thanks for making this video. I love the way your guitar looks. I've also got a 3-d printed guitar. My body mass was mostly one large piece and two smaller segments. No body flex for me. I used Joe Barden pickups, Gotoh bridge and a roast maple Fender tele neck as my main components. The biggest issue for me was neck alignment in the neck pocket. I ended up using a shim to correct the string height and a little bit of neck pocket trim to get the strings properly aligned so that the high 'e' wasn't too close to the edge of the frets. Rock on my brother. Here's a link to my 3-d guitar vid. kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4LSp3WYfLhgZ7ssi=07uiQHqs1mT57uJ7

The reverb circuit only uses one side of a tube, so they took the other half and used it for a third gain stage. That means the non reverb models can play cleaner louder! Love these with my 6g15 in front, you get the best of both worlds.

I have heard Fender have had a higher rate of repairs on the 68 reissue amp models. Probably most of the one comeing in from China. Better to stick with the mexican made units. Its a shame since I really want to buy one of these, but don't want to be stuck with an expensive lemon!

They sound fine stock. For many people there is a need to tinker and change. These were not expensive and modifying them became popular. That is understandable and fine but they sound very good stock. They don't sound like an original champ, but they are good

Not once did you say the MOD was a 10" speaker. But what I gather is you were able to install a 10" on the same baffle? Without cutting a wider hole and new screws? I doubt it.

I have had one of these for over three years now. While initially I liked it, it went dead on me. New tubes did not fix it. I determined that it was likely the transformer. I could find no information on what or where to get a replacement. I called Fender and they said that they could not give me that information and that I would have to take it to a Fender service center who would then troubleshoot and order the part. I will still buy used Fender gear, but, I will no longer buy new Fender gear as this is my second issue in a row with a new purchase. The amp fried also just outside of warranty. My impression is that these amps cannot handle being turned up and played loud for extended periods. They sound great, but, in the future I will look elsewhere and go for quality components over brand name.

I designed mine with 3 10x2mm oval channels in the body and hammered in carbon fiber rods. Also used 30% gyroid infill and 7 layers for walls/top/bottom.

Dunno if you’ve made any progress but you might conserve on filament and print time by increasing the wall width along with top and bottom thickness. Maybe a bit of filleting on the edges. But it seems the two center pieces should be your primary concern.

What infill pattern did you use? The right infill at 30% with 8 layer walls should be as stiff as 100%. I use gyroid

That really sucks. My Father worked as a Supplier Quality Manager at Ford factories in Ohio for 30 years. I remember him advising me to NEVER buy the 1st generation of ANY new vehicle....be it a Ford, Toyota, Porsche, etc. because all new models have gremlins, quirks etc that need to be finessed and optimized. In fact that holds true for any new consumer product....not just cars. That was sound advice. As much as I covet a Bronco, I will patiently wait for the 2nd generation. It typically doesn't pay to be an early adopter of anything.

The best way to make the body more rigid is use a rigid filament like PLA or something with infused with carbon fibre, using more perimeters (about 7) in your slicer and use lighter gauge string as you did. Hope this helps if you’re still having issues with the body flexing.
@officialWWM
@officialWWM 10 ай бұрын
I fixed the body flex by making an aluminium plate, much like a a Strat cover plate and bonding it to the back with epoxy. There are also designs that have a hole through the body to insert a 10mm rod to stop the flex. They work well too.
