Mine is caused by sin gluttony. I'm trying to fast i need to but I'm in so much pain at night I can't sleep an have gotten into the bad habit of eating. I am praying for a supplement or tea or medicine to help relieve the pain instead of eating. I can not even bow in prayer all the time or focus when i pray . I currently have no medical insurance or doctor. I need help. The few doctors I've see in past years were always very rude. I need help. I think I will just try to do my art and pray and try not to get tempted by eating at night. I need to water fast cause everything makes me sick. I started binge eating when i was younger. Even vegetables hurt me now. I've been trying to do this fast for 1 year so i can heal. This is sad

After using Abeka math grade 7, what did you think of it? Also, did you use the Abeka pre algebra? If so, what were your thoughts on it? We have used Abeka math through 5th grade, and l wanted to know what people thought of the 7th and pre algebra.
@Proverbs_31Life8 ай бұрын
Yes we’ve used it. We just finished Abeka algebra 1.

Needed this! My oldest has been out of the house in the USAF for 5 months but I have been going through an emotional roller coaster since he turned 18. Now he is 20 and I am struggling so much to let go and trust God. It feels like the pain of grief. I am beyond proud of him but I can’t seem to shake off this pain I feel.

When do you think a student can skip intermediate math and go straight to pre algebra? My son has used Abeka Math 4th-6th. Math is his strongest subject, he makes A's and does not struggle. Intermediate math seems like all review. What was your experience? Thanks.
@Proverbs_31Life11 ай бұрын
I’d say to go ahead and skip intermediate then. If you’re not accredited, you can take more time for lessons if he needs it.

I dedicate this to you in the name of Jesus: Just remember how special you are in the eyes of other people. the specialness will never fade and if anything it only grows as you get older. People may come and go, but that won't mean you're no longer special. If anything, it means that the people who leave, are just making room for new people to arrive, and these will be much better people who will serve you a better purpose. I see you as a woman with determination, a woman with a sweet and kind heart, a woman with a wonderful personality, a woman with a cute smile and a woman with a good head on her shoulders. As well, never forget that you radiate natural beauty. From head to toe, you possess the beauty that some women wish they could possess. You, my friend, are freaking beautiful, and never forget that. Have an awesome day :)

I occasionally log in to social media and I happened on today. I recently asked God what it means to be respectful. I remember asking myself as a child what it meant to respect? And as I disciplined my young daughter the other day I told her that she doesn’t respect which I a lie because I do believe she shows me respect at times but I’d like a more tangible definition of what it means to be disobedient and what it means to respect. I’d like to learn this myself so that I may teach my children the difference.
@Proverbs_31Life11 ай бұрын
I didn’t say this, and I should’ve. Start with a word study. Define “respect”. Read synonyms and antonyms.

I really needed this today and I appreciate this video - it really hit home. Especially when you mentioned how our kids need consistency, and even though we tell them over and over again, they continuously need reminding. I like the example you gave: “Would we appreciate our spouse or boss speaking to us in a demeaning/condescending way?” No, we wouldn’t! (I actually left a previous job because my boss did just that.) So why would we speak to our kids that way? That’s a wakeup call for many parents, myself included. Speaking more kindly to my children instead of being short-tempered and harsh is something I really need to work on. I’ve also been guilty of “wishing this time away” in the back of my mind. Even though the little baby scrunch (🥺) wasn’t that long ago. I guess there’s a selfish/wordly/flesh part of me that misses how simple my life was before I had kids, when I could have ample quiet time and do whatever I wanted, when I wanted (how I miss the quiet time!). “Don’t let your storm get your kids wet.” That’s really good 🙏🏻 (As a side note: You’re daughter sounds just like mine 😂)
