I was frustrated & had to call 1800 number I was walked thru this with no problem. The problem is the information sheet on how to do. The steps are not in right order & as well there was some steps missing. I also followed this video which is the same as the sheet but just larger print. I was ready to take it back & had already purchased an alternative one but now will take that back for refund. Couple of hours I will not get back in my life & the stress

If you unscrew the back plate of the keyed half of the deadbolt assembly, you can work your way to the cylinder itself. Once you’ve pulled the cylinder out, pull the half of the cylinder that carries the notched teeth away from the body of the cylinder(being careful not to drop any of the teeth). Slide your key into the lock, then put the piece with the notched teeth back onto the cylinder. This essentially re-keys the cylinder. Not for the faint of heart, but beats calling a locksmith or returning the unit. Good luck!!!

Set the code. Then it opens closes and then of on of on of on. With the deadbolt going in and out one 1/4" until I eventually take the battery out. No troubleshooting guide for this. What do I do. . Garbage?

The remote unlock rarely ever works. Don't recommend this product at all.

My lock works after I reprogram it but then it stops working a few days later. When I press the code, it does not unlock. And when I press the lock button (Weiser button), it does not lock.

The Smartkey kit from Weiser does NOT work, if you're thinking of buying this! I just bought it 3 hours ago and ended up misprogramming one of my garage doors with the key, thankfully my friend moved that lock to a door that doesn't require opening. I also tried calling their customer service line, which only operates M-F 9-5pm. Don't be fooled by the demo, I got stuck at the last step and the new key wouldn't be learned by the lock!

So if you have to extend the lock you twist it? Did you think that now your whole lock has to be installed upside down? Strongly advise anyone to not buy this lock.

Why is the turnpiece not in the same orientation as the bolt!?! Having it locked when the turnpiece is vertical is backwards!
