The Pictor has a less video commercial look. The sigma looks great but has a less cinema look a bit crispy crunchy sterile looking but perfect for stills that dont require as much creative/softer/character. I love my stills lenses for my print work as they scale well and are easy to post process for the frame. Cine lenses simply dont require as much fussing but the right tool for the right job etc. all you have is all you need.

What is High vs High1.0?

You can get the REAL Sigma cine zoom lenses now for $3500 for the pair. Which is the same price for these rehoused sigma photo lenses with bad focus breathing. Just get the real thing with great focus breathing and calculated measured Sigma cine glass 😊

Do you have a slightly larger rig that'll maybe hold a lens or two?

My settings: ProRes 422 Under [Record] (dynamic range settings) select [Extended Video]. Set to 50fps with a shutter speed of 1/100. Monitor: both LCD & HDMI select Focus Assist Setup: shutter angle, last page: calibrate motion sensor, remap pixels. All these blurry cinematic shots are giving me cinematic eye cancer.

Does vignette only appear when you use mattebox? Is the black edge when you set 11mm on BMPCC 4K caused by the mattebox or is it because the Tokina lens is not suitable to use the 11-12mm focal length on BMPCC 4K?

H264 delivers a PIXEL-QUAULITY video but not Hight quality. It was good enough for Full HD, or maybe 2k videos some time, but absolutely not works good with 4k videos and higher. Big difference between original BRAW and H264 decoded video from my Blackmagic 6k.

Hi, i just bought a Blackmagic 6K and i'm looking for a lens. Talking about the Sigma 18-35, i read it is an APS-C lens, how can i use this lens on Blackmagic since it's supposed to be a full frame camera, i mean, do you have to set up something in the menu? Is there some quality loss, using it on a Blackmagic?

For me the determining factor is which one will mount well on the Ronin S. Have you had any success mounting the Ursa mini onto the Ronin S with being able to tilt up and down. I've seen someone mount it but looked like they couldn't move the camera around much

I liked everything about this short aside from the ending and the sound design. Both were really grating. Everything else is very good.

very very under rated review! Dropping the fricken screen as a stress test and scenes shot between interview style and B-roll is also crazy crisp!

The rig looks nice but the video is overall very dark. I wanted to see the bag in bright light so I can see the details. Nice video though.

For starting, You only need, Camera Body & Samsung T5 SSD. All the other things you can rent including tripod, lenses, mic, lights etc. You wont get cage as rent, but you can shoot without it.

Appreciate and thank you for this inspiring video. I have owned the bmpcc OG for a while and just recently badly damaged the hdmi port (ughhh), but thankful the camera itself is still usable. Thought I’d be ok without that external monitor feature, but I’m not. And decided to get another one in excellent condition at a decent price. So now there’s two for unintentional A and B production (LOL). Now with lesson learned with that… I’m still having a challenge processing the footage from that camera. I do own and actually work with Blackmagic 4 and 6K cameras. Any advise with post on those files the OG produces?

Bro the grade on this is so dark, I can’t tell what you’re referring to man. Idk if it’s just my screen but Im on max brightness and I’m having trouble differentiating the details you’re referring. The pouch is right in the core shadow of your body. Why not a key on the subject itself?

Shoulder rigs should be balanced on your shoulders and not be carried with your arms as you show in this video. The pocket cameras have an awful design factory for this intent, as you need to place your head next to the lens in order to get minimal balance on the rig. But then, you need longer 15mm rods to place your grips and eventually ditch the monitor to avoid getting in the frame.

Not clear to me, if BM 6k has focus assist already, then why are you discussing external monitors? Or are you just explaining that external monitors is another option to use the focus assist feature? Comments?

60fps is to clear off an image for any film. Makes it look too fake imo. I'll always shoot at a Max rate of 30fps.. the t3i just gives film a nice classic look
