I had also the same trouble and it's resolved by replacing ECM/PCM with a brand new one. Upon replacement I opened the old one fully (I had to cut around connectors by Dremel) and I faced the exact failure I estimated before: Just by visual check, it's clear that two aluminium capacitors are already dead. And according to V-I test I performed on board, a third one is also dead or very close to die, even looking normal. I'm going to replace the five aluminium capacitors, so I will have a fully functional spare ECM/PCM module :)

Today is a great day my 2015 Honda Civic has had this problem for almost 3 months but it got to the point where while I'm driving the transmission would wind up and down and my car would go like forwards and like jumping I would have to pull off on the side of the road turn my car off then turn it back on then it would drive fine for about the next day or two. But today I finally figured out what the problem was my left driver side ABS sensor was bad I replaced it now all of my lights the ABS warning the TPMS warning the uphill assist warning the power steering warning all of those have turned off my card is not act like it wants to stall again thank God I finally figured out the problem just because you don't see a cut in the line of the ABS sensor doesn't mean nothing wrong with it have it checked with a multimeter and if it is bad replacing you'll love your Honda again like I do good luck.

Updates as of 10/27/2021: FINALLY FIXED! I have to let you guys know that I bought a salvage car, fully fixed and running like new. It was hit to the left fender where the fuse box and ECU sit. I enjoyed it for almost 6 months with no issues at all. Just normal maintenance as required. Live was good that time))) Later it started throwing this "light show" as on the video from time to time. I did a lot of internet research. Could not find similar issues as mine who had a solution. Some of the videos on KZbin were showing ABS module problems with similar check lights. So I decided to start replacing it. After replacing to used OEM part it did not make any difference. The next step was ECU since it was hit to that side. I thought it might have some microdamage. Used OEM part was not expensive ( found for $85 on eBay) When I ordered and received a new ECU, I replaced that unit and after programming to the car it run as normal, but when I started to mount that ECU back to its place my mechanic said that "Christmas tree" lights are back. So then we started to search for the problem. As I mentioned car had a damage history, and we found wires that go to ECU were taped not as OEM. After diagnosing those wires I found that one of the wires which power the ECU was connected with an additional inch of wire. The previous owner fixed those wires, but fortunately not well. That piece of wire was partially burned and looks like it was causing a power shortage. From time to time it started burning that power line and lights were coming often. Summer hot and Winter cold weather now makes some sense to me. After proper electrical work, the wire was fixed and now it runs smooth as new. Let me know if somebody had the same issue and found this fix helpful in the comments below. Thank you!!!

I have exacly same problem you have. Can you please advise, did you chance the ECU with exactly the same model, or slightly different one? What I found that Honda's model numbering is in 37820-MMM-XXX format. 37820 is part number, and MMM section depends on engine. First character of last 3 digit is country code, second one denotes transmission, and last one is version. For worst case, I found second-hand ECUs exactly same at first and second sections (37820-MMM-) but differs on last section, even the middle digit is same. I don't know whether I have to but the ECU with exactly same coding. Thanks for video and advises, this is the most valuable I've seen during searching for a solution. (On my case I'm going to check wiring at first, then look for further solutions.)

Hello @@tdurudogan Sorry to hear your cars issue. Here is ECU part number what I bought for my 2014 Civic hybrid 37820-RW0-A81. This part number goes by VIN number to my car. But there is one more that fits and which is installed to my car by previous owner and it is not same as I texted. Don't have exact number, the only last 3 digits was different . So best thing is to just buy exactly what is installed by manufacture. For gasoline cars ECU's are really cheap on eBay, somewhere $20-25 . For hybrid cars little expensive but not too crazy ( just found for $50 if you interested. www.ebay.com/itm/333146661969?fits=Submodel%3AHybrid%7CYear%3A2014%7CModel%3ACivic%7CMake%3AHonda&epid=2109192347&hash=item4d9116a451:g:V6cAAOSwnCdcMNJ8 ) Otherwise good luck and keep me updated with your car. And if you have any questions let me know.

@@tdurudogan Don't try to install and program ECU with different part number. There are big chance that it will not run your engine. And remember, once you program your car for new ECU, your old ECU will not run your engine anymore, so you have to program your old ECU again in order if you want to put it back.

@Nurseit Kalbaev thanks for kind reply. I found also that you and I not only the people face with that trouble, but there are also. And not only on Honda, but other brands/models as well. I don't suspect yet ECU software, but wiring as well. I could find wiring diagrams of my car (you may download Carmin app) and now I think I have exact "coordinates" of trouble. This weekend... ;)

@riczz46413 жыл бұрын
This is probably caused by a different sized wheel. If it happens in a certain season it could be triggered when you change wheels. I had flat tire once and using the donut triggered all the alarms because the wheel was not the same size. Check if all your wheels have exactly the same size

I have same problem at my 2013 civic, I costed almost $2000 to replace the car computer chip to solved. 2 thousands!!! I only drive about 8000km and got this big problem. So, don't buy Japanese car now. The quality is not good enough now. Also, the car dealer is also too bad, $2000 maintenance fee. One month's income of regular work.

Still researching. On your car lights going away after battery disconnection ?
@butchc92263 жыл бұрын
@@nurseitkalbaev my 13 civic for no special reason had a similar problem. Check VSA, Check Power Steering, tire pressure light on. Took the car to Honda dealer, there was an error in the yaw sensor in the VSA modulator. They cleared the errors, checked everything. And so far no more errors. But if it happens again I was told it’s the VSA modulator which is $1300. Mine happened when it was cooler out.
@nurseitkalbaev3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion. Your car’s faults was cleared after disconnecting the 12v battery 🔋? Or you drove to the dealer with all lights on 💡and then they cleared? Because like I mentioned on the video , I took to the mechanic (electric ) and he made hard reset and basically he uploaded newest software. After that it was good , no lights , but after some time lights coming back. My mechanic suggested to replace VSA modulator , but no guarantee that it will fix the problem . Cz if modulator is bad , all lights should stay on always . So it is 50/50 and as you mentioned it is quite an expensive part
@butchc92263 жыл бұрын
@@nurseitkalbaev the dealer did a hard reset. He said to me the sensor inside the VSA modulator was giving the errors. I’ve researched and it looks like the VSA modulator is the problem. Yes, it is expensive. My lights are off right now, but I feel they will come back. I may decide to trade it in. It looks like a common problem in older Honda’s. My car is not a hybrid.
