I was 12 when I watched this game at home. It was Canada´s debut up against the European champions at the time, and we expected France would easily walk over Canada really. We were impressed by the Canadian spirit, an amateur team that put up a fight for as long as it could and almost got away with a miraculous draw. A great world cup that was, with many memorable games: Fra-Ussr; Ussr-Bel; Fra-Bra, the Danish football making its debut and Maradona´s unforgettable performance.

Mr Conroy, who had seemingly led the invasion, was arrested and ended up under the very large wooden table in said charge room, allegedly with several irritated officers applying their boots to him.

Wow, what a video! I've only ever seen the clips of the fighting, never the football - and how good were Liverpool on the basis of these clips? (They were in the Charity Shield by dint of demolishing my own beloved Newcastle 3-0 in the FA Cup Final.) What an amazing game!
