I bought the very same saw in 1988 in March have org paper work still and my 34 super runs like a Banshee still. 24" bar

Great saw, still running strong after 48 years! 82cc’s and great power to weight ratio. Not to mention the manual AND automatic oiler, and non restrictive muffler. Wish they still made em like this

It’s a ‘junker’ alright... seeing as how even parts for older ones are still available and the cheapo big box stuff ends up on Craigslist for ‘free come and take’.

Was the 034 stock or did it have a modification?

Ok that's clear - no comparison between these saws, but they are all working quite well. What is also visible - you know how to sharpen a chain ;) There are a lot of vids that show something else ...
