I also have some organic sculptures and vases but my base is 75% mid century. Do you think changing the sofa from a linear mid century piece to a curved sofa would add a nice touch? Be careful about buying new shower fixtures just to match the sink faucet. If your valves inside the wall are Kohler, for instance, you cannot install an A&R fixture. The brand of fixture needs to match the brand of valve inside the wall

The Barcelona line of furtniture is not MCM. They were designed for the Barcelona pavilion at the world exhibition in 1929. Designed by Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich makes this and all related elements a product of Modernist design. These were also designed before Mies van der Rohe became the last director of Bauhaus. The Noguchi table is often included in MCM however it was designed in 1944 which by definition would make it not MCM (the earliest beginning of MCM is usually defined as 1947 with some scholars going further to 1950 as a beginning of that design era).

I thought I had tons of interior design books to until I went to my bookcase yesterday and discovered I have six. I adore Kelly Hoppen, Candice Olson, Kelly Wearstler, and Martyn Lawrence Bullard. Mary McDonald is another favourite. I was disappointed there weren't more seasons of Million Dollar Decorators. I'm a big user of the library and am blessed that my city has an amazing system. It's kind of a best kept secret. Once I find a book I love, it goes on my wish list. Now I have to check my wish list to add to it. Thank you for sharing!
