I was a Senior in High School when the 9/11 took place, I remember been in class that morning it was around 10:25 am Mountain time when a teacher walked and told my 12th grade teacher to turn the TV on, that the Twin Towers were on fire, so my teacher did, I couldn't believe what had happened, it just didn't seem real to me, at 1st I thought they said an Military plane crashed into one of the towers, and then an Commercial plane crashed into another tower, and I heard there was an explosion before both planes crashed into the towers, so I don't know, who knows what really happened.

I was young when 9/11 happened. Id flown from Vegas to Newark in August 2001, just a few weeks before it happened, and i distincity remember seeing the Twin Towers as we walked back to our car at the airport, the last time i would ever see them. After 9/11, i didnt have the courage to fly again for many years. It wasnt until 2019 that i flew again, 18 years later. I fly several times a year now, but its crazy to think how much this moment changed the world from the large scale to the small scale. I probably missed out on a lot for being afraid to fly for so long.

It's so true, you can even see it in a lot of the art of the time. Certain types of artistic expression like the "Y2K" design aesthetic almost completely fell out of use afterwards.
