Nice to see a behind the scenes. Very surprised at the few down thumbs you are getting, there are some really miserable people out there that never seem to be satisfied. I understand a down thumb also gets recognised by the algorithm. I really need to pay more attention to tags etc so this is very useful.

@sowgroweat6987 Google is very good at selecting videos to show people who searfor something and I have about 15 which are first on their list on those particular subjects. Well worth the effort if you monetize.

Glad the plots and the "K's" weathered the wild storm, 😂 you could have removed the mangled tyre from the wheelbarrow wheel and put rope around the rim like the dutch did on their bicycles as tyres wore out during WWII, just joking. I replaced my tyre with a solid on, makes for a bumpy ride for the loads i use it for. Mrs K ❤

Terry, buy yourself a puncture-proof wheel, they are worth it. 4 panels down and 2 post garden furniture everywhere. My satellite dish even fell off the wall!

It looks like the storm spared you Terry as I had some damage but my relatives just built a brand new 16ftx10 Greenhouse and 10ftx 10ft garden shed got flattened by a massive tree and so,e had damage to cars and houses.

From what I can work out Tel, looking at it under the scope, and satelite view of their industrial site, SS is humic acid extracted from compost (chemical extraction, which is why it's so expensive). Now then, you can buy powdered humate that is mined from fosilized remains, which is natural, and contains more minerals, for ~£25 a Kg.

Are you sure about that, Pete. I thought Humic acid didn't contain any micro organisims. Using SS as per Terrys method in the newly mixed compost seems to considerably increase the temperature, indicating the prescence of bacteria.

@@lesleysmith6232 SS doesn't contain any life under the microscope, it looks exactly the same as Humic Acid powder. SS is humic IMO, so it will have a very similar effect on soil/compost. Humic is a biostimulant, it will stimulate microbial activity, making whatever nutrients are in the soil/compost bioavailable (more easily absorbed by plants than the chemical/mineral ionic pathway) with a corresponding increase in microbial activity (which is why you get more heat, microbial reproduction=heat). If you'd like to know more about Humic/fulvic substances Diego Footer has a very interesting long form interview with a Humic expert on his channel.

Just started pruning our raspberries and pulling some strays out 😂 I would transplant them but I have more than enough😂 So would wood ash be good for gooseberries?? It would be from the site bonfire and I’m a little worried about what they actually burn, like stained fence panels etc Have a great day. Big hugs to you and need K ❤

@TheRightPearPlot I only use the ashes from my log burner because I know what when in. Yes treated timber is dangerous when burned, not sure if it would be safe to use on the plot, but it's everyone's own personal opinion that counts.

Thanks for posting. Mine arrives tomorrow from Powersheds. Bought one from them after a lot of research. 1 concern is that I couldn't see any DPM ontop of your concrete floor? From what i've read on forums etc, you need to put this to protect the cabin's floor bearers. That said i can see that your concrete floor is the same size as the cabin, which should reduce or elminitate any issues. Just something to be aware of. Did you add any insulation to the floor or roof? Lovely stain you've applied to the wood. Would you mind me asking what it was?

@4rsxh I put the DPM on the bottom so hopefully no moisture underneath to penetrantthe concrete, but I didn't also want to trap moisture in any layers. Missed out on floor insulation, didn't see that until it was built and used, good idea, but the floor does stay warm so not worried too much. We ordered the stain at the same time from Powersheds which included their 20% off and the extra 5% they gave me to add their name to the title. I will see what colour we asked for and reply. It had it's second coat in the summer, needs 12 months or more to help the paint stick and not bubble, good stain, well worth the money. Please remember to remove all the door and window screws that hold the frames to the cabin during the summer as there is loads of movement upto 50mm, I haven't put them back personally. I used the small guttering and what a difference that has made on limiting the splash back. Hope that helps, I will be doing a video on the maintenance very soon.

Great idea to have creator share their process commentary. I use VideoShop to record and edit before I upload to KZbin. I don't know if it's the best, but it suits me for now. I do add tags, but I haven't done hashtags very much at all. I've never even attempted end screens. Always something to learn! ~ Sandra

Hi Terry. I was wondering why you didn't address the Altered Content, but you did in the end. I've heard tags are no longer important, so I never do any. Do you use hashtags? I tried to get the end screens but failed miserably lol. Analytics are too depressing so I don't go there often lol. When you upload, does it make any difference to KZbin if you go public straight away? I go public once uploaded. It's a very interesting and important topic. Thanks Terry 🎄🎅👍⛄️🥕🥕🥕

@allotmentjoy you can go public straight away and you don't have any choice if you haven't got a computer, but the tags are important and the hashtags are even more important #startinganewallotment did very well for me and increased my views on this subject. Remember my viewers sit waiting for my video to pop up on a Wednesday and Sunday at 8pm, then hopefully KZbin pushes the video, best video I did had 10,000 views in one night. My was is just very simple, end screens are important too especially when not many creators or uploading gardening videos so hopefully they select playlist to watch.

Nice video Terry mate, i dont think the majority of people realise how much time and effort goes into making and editing a video. Its not just point your camera or phone, press record and thats it. I can make my videos in 4, 5, 6 or even 8 videos whilst editing bits out or using transitions to put the clips together or adding elements or effects. Then as you say make sure there is no copyright infringements either by myself ( music or clips from someone elses videos ) or anyone else using my videos without my permission. adding end screens etc. Then checking the analytics of the channel. It really does take time. I take the videos on my phone, upload to my laptop then just upload all the clips to filmora, then do my editing and finally upload it to youtube. Just done one tonight in 4 pieces, the end video only lasts about 8 minutes but took me around about 30 minutes to make. Luckily there was no editing on this one, just stitching the pieces together with transitions. Great infor mative video mate. Hope you and Mrs K are doing well and looking forward to Christmas. 💙❤

Hi Terry this is an amazing video. I have just started a channel for progress on my plot as I only got my plot in may this year. I only take videos on my phone until I finish up setting up an office in a spare bedroom. This will help me no end when I get to do it on my pc so thank you
