I have now bought this book via Amazon Prime and done some testing. This is what I found: The worst surprisingly was Caran D'Ache Luminance. These did not lay down well nor did they blend. I think this could be due to the fact better artist quality paper is normally used. However my expensive Holbeins worked beautifully, as did the Caran D'Ache Pablos; Prismacolor and Faber-Castell Polychromos. Prismacolor Verithins worked well too for the small detail. Most of the mediums. That would be 'wet' were not too much of a success. That included Tombows, Derwent Inktense, Faber-Castell PITT brush pens and Caran D'Ache Supracolor (used as wet not dry, they were fine when dry). Caran D'Ache Fibralo was a bit 'hit and miss'. Fine as they are as felt tips, and okay with the tiniest water laid down, but any more than that and it goes through. Surprisingly though, Neocolor ll I had no problems with using just a tiny amount of water; this included doing a second layer of colour damped down. I tried using Derwent pastel direct onto the paper and damped it down to 'fix' the colour. This worked very well, not going through and giving an unusual mottled slightly watercolour effect. Derwent Graphitint was just about okay with damp brush; again, anything more wet and it was too much. Prismacolor, Polychromos laid down nicely and also blended okay. After my testing, I have decided there are around 12-15 pictures I really like. I intend to carefully score and take out those pages; eventually getting them photocopied onto decent art paper of my own. The rest bar 3 or 4 which I am not keen on, I will probably use for practice with the mediums that worked well. I hope this has been helpful to those who have bought the book or are thinking of buying it.

What is the quality of the paper like? Love the designs.
