I'm pretty new to Blender so this might seem like a really dumb question, but I've done your tutorial over and over 4 times now and I cant seem to get the smoke or the fire to show up. When I get to the part where you first select the Quick Smoke Domain, on your screen it looks like the ball is in a bed of smoke inside the smoke domain cube. On mine all I see is a completely dry wireframe plane, ball, and the outline of the smoke domain. I'm sure its something simple like a mode Im not it, but for the life of me, I cant seem to figure out what it is. Other than that, I love your tutorial!

Great video, but I had a roadblock when I did the XYZ mapping for the material using Store Attribute. The material responds to changing location values and gives me different colors, but the whole object only takes one color at a time from the texture. Changing the scale on both the texture itself or the Mapping doesnt change anything. It also seems like maybe the Stored Attribute isnt being stored or the XY values aren't working correct;y. Could you help, please?
@UniBlend_Art14 күн бұрын
Hi thanks for reaching out, I think you don't have the correct capture attribute + store named attribute setup. It shows one color if the uv isn't properly mapped. So make sure that X is captured before the curve input in curve to mesh, and y before the profile curve input. Then after curve to mesh have the store named attribute as vector. Then use the name of that stored attribute in the attribute input for the texture vectors in the shader. If you consist to have issues don't hesitate to jump into our discord server discord.gg/uniblend and we can help out.

Hey man, great stuff. I just want you to know that if you press "N" on the keyboard, it will hide the side panel to the right that takes a lot of space, i think you will love this shortcut. Also with "T" on the keyboard, you can hide the Tools panel to the left. Just get your cursor on the right working area, it works in any view with this kind of panels, like the 3d viewport, the timeline and the node editor.

A sidenote: you don't "need" to link the canvas to the brush by a collection, it works fine without. The collection setting is to choose specific brushes, let's say you have several canvas and brush objects in your scene, but you want some brushes not to affect the canvas while others should affect it. Then you put the ones that should affect it into a separate collection and tell the canvas to only react to those brushes.

When making the dirt darker and more glossy, why bring in unnecessary extra nodes? You can simply multiply the dirt color with a darker value like grey in the Mix Color node, and the same you can do for the roughness in the Mix node...
