He's won a grammy. Part of a movie soundtrack. He IS famous. He's indie now, so that explains a lot. Also. I've seen him live 2x. His shows are extremely intimate. He's very humble and has NO ego. Last show I saw him at, his uncle's was selling t-shirts and CDs. He has no entourage, no security. He's FUCKING dope and real. The mainstream music industry cannot manipulate him. The people who love him are loved back. 🔥✨🔥

He put out TRIM and that has a lot of his original songs stripped back to the basics. It's fiyah. Would recommend 🥰

When you've been through it, this song always cuts right through !! I first saw Van on Soul train singing this cut, and I haven't been the same since* he just keeps gettin more and more funky!! I got my own classic footage of some of his shows and got to meet him in Brooklyn, also got a priceless autographed copy of his Velvet ( Dayglow ) poster!! Lucky me!! Peace and Love*
